About Us
Los Cerritos Park, located at 3750 Del Mar Avenue in Long Beach, California, is a beautiful 8-acre park that offers a serene setting for various recreational activities. Originally donated by Amelia M.E. Bixby to the County of Los Angeles in 1907, the park has since been expanded and improved to include amenities such as two tennis courts, a playground, picnic areas, and a restroom building.
The park is a popular spot for locals to enjoy a leisurely walk, have a picnic, read a book, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. It is also a favorite location for Municipal Band concerts during the summer months. Additionally, the park offers tennis classes through contract classes, making it a great place for sports enthusiasts to hone their skills.
One notable feature of Los Cerritos Park is the Gary Gabelich Memorial Grove, dedicated to the local resident who achieved fame in the world of drag racing and speed records. The park's playground was redeveloped in 1995 with funds from the Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond act, and further improvements were made in 2004 to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
With its rich history, beautiful surroundings, and ample amenities, Los Cerritos Park is a cherished community space that continues to provide a place for residents to come together and enjoy the outdoors. Visit the park at the corner of Country Club Drive and Bixby Road to experience all that it has to offer.

"Very nice park in a secluded little neighborhood near a school. Very large area actually family friendly"
"I usually go for a walk here on weekends to relax. I thought it would be appropriate to take my family for a walk here."
"Serene, great place to relax. Just across los cerritos elementary school."
"This has become our go to park to take the little one. Plenty of space, plenty of green areas and two large jungle gyms. The larger one seems to be for ages 5 and up, and the smaller 2 and up, at least that's what I deduced from the posted tags. A decent amount of families show up slightly after 11ish, at least that's what I've noticed so far. This day that I took these pics must have been just before the "rush" because it was fairly empty."
"Smaller park in Virginia Country Club area of Long Beach (Very Tony area). Is on the side of a hill so the walk is more challenging than most parks here in Long Beach. Lots of large picnics, lots of outdoor weddings and friendly people. Dog friendly. Hosts weekly LB Municipal Band concerts in July early evenings on Wednesday. Playground equipment was just completely replaced and is state of the art"
