"Great place to hike along the cliffs and get a view of the harbor seals down on the beach. Bring a zoom camera lens for closeups. Lots of pups this time of year. I don’t recommend going down on the beach area to impose on the seals."
"A must do. Seals, dolphins, whales, oh my!! Beautiful sunset!"
"We camp at the Carpinteria State Beach often and this is a favorite place to visit! It's a nice walk or even a nice bike ride (off road). December to May is usually when you will see the most seals, but keep in mind this is their home, their space. It's a beautiful place to visit and we love visiting year after year."
"The seals are currently being protected from visitors getting too close during mating season, so I highly recommend bringing binoculars for a better view. Also, do not follow google’s directions because they’ll lead you to a private energy plant. Instead, drive south of the plant’s pier and hike through the marsh reserve. The walk is worth it!"
