"Moises is an amazing tattoo artist with a beautiful and clean shop, 5/5 stars for him. So the 3 star rating is for the excessive noise from the bar downstairs. I came to get tattooed Wednesday but the noise from the band was so loud that I couldn’t hold a conversation with Moises. I decided to cut the session short and come back on Friday to finish up the piece. Unfortunately, the noise was the same and the noise itself made for an unpleasant experience."

"I've been a client of Moe Mendez's tattoo studio since 2019, and my journey with him has been nothing short of extraordinary. Moe's patience, skilled craftsmanship, kindness, and professionalism have consistently left me impressed and coming back for more. Moe's artistic talents shine through in every piece he creates, turning my ideas into stunning works of art on my skin. His attention to detail and dedication to perfection make each session a memorable and enjoyable experience. This isn’t a review about Moe as an artist but more of his studio. That’s why I can only give 2 stars. As much as I adore the tattoos I've received from Moe, I must address a significant downside to his new studio – the location. The studio is situated above the Ivy Room, and on certain evenings, the noise from below can turn what should be a chill tattoo session into a rather unpleasant ordeal. His entire studio vibrates from the noise downstairs! I’ve usually been able to handle it, but yesterday the worst! Getting tattooed is a really painful experience no matter what. You kind of expect pain but ultimately good pain! What I didn’t expect was the massive migraine and ringing ears I had after like I had actually been at whatever show was going on during my session. This really sucks because I literally only trust Moe to tattoo me (after some terrible tattoo shops in Berkeley). Hopefully Moe guest spots somewhere nearby because I’m for sure not going back to that studio."
