"J&L is a small local grocery of the sort that has almost died out. But since Crockett isn't home to a big grocery store it is immensely convenient to have in town. The selection is surprisingly good for such a small store and the people are friendly and helpful. Get a copy of the Crockett Signal while you are in there."

"Was there the other day because I very much needed cilantro for a recipe. I stopped in and was so happy they had it! For a small neighborhood grocery store I have always found what I needed. "Older short lady also told me I couldn’t bring my bike inside. There was no one in there and she tried to say the place is too small for a bike to fit in there while I shop. No thanks. I walked right out."

"More of a small grocery store than a convenience-type store. They have you covered for milk, eggs, potatoes, lettuce, frozen food, canned food, coffee, cleaning supplies, etc. Not a bad beer selection for the size of the place, too. I stop here for something or another pretty much every day, and they rarely disappoint. Friendly and helpful staff, too."

"Great little store! The staff is very friendly, and given that this store is around a 10 minute walk from my house, its incredibly convenient to pick up a soda or treat when I'm walking by. I only knock off a star for the prices on a lot of the items. Beer and canned goods are alright, but soda, chips, and candy are exorbitant. I'd give 4 and a half stars if I could because everything else about this place is fantastic."
