"Staff are completely devoid of any customer service skills if you tell me to wait 10 minutes for the store to open and I do at least remember to open the door when it's six and not just look at me and a liquor rep standing out side tapping the glass. Thanks night crew on your smoke break."

"I pre-order and pre-pay 300 pcs of chicken for $240 last December 7 and the Deli took note that it will be picked up on December 11 (8PM). We went to Safeway Jackson branch December 11 (8PM). The chicken are not yet ready, we waited 40min. It was all done by 8:40pm. 3 boxes of chicken were smelling bad and has after taste. We threw it away because it is for our company Christmas Party and it smells in the room. The Manager named James called me back and telling me "you are not gonna get a refund, you are not gonna get an update from us, you are not gonna get a phone call or email from us but I will take it from here" HANG THE PHONE. He wants us to return the smelly chicken but we can't keep them in store because of the smell and we are running a business."

"Good store as other Safeway. There is a good selection of groceries there. The staff are friendly. There are a lot of self check-outs for you to use instead of waiting for cashiers. They recently established new security measures to fight back retail thefts. So sad for the behaviors of those low life that destroy our country. These measures although kinda annoyed a bit but are needed to protect businesses and customers."

"It's a great store, people are just very dramatic when it comes to reviews. The cashier didn't say say hi to me? One star. The store doesn't have my cheddar soup? One star. Do you see how people will bring out the tiniest inconvenience and swear this place is horrible, some of these dinosaurs on here need to act their age. Anyways my point is this Safeway is a great store with nice employees, a clean sales floor, etc. Sure the place may need a big renovation but its still a grocery store. They recently added anti theft gates at the front entrance and people reviewing hate it. Yet they also hate when the store doesn't do anything about it. In conclusion I really do like this store and they have a great management team ready to serve you on you're immature complaints."

"Is there a reason why this is the only Safeway in the Bay Area that still looks like it’s from the 70s? Can we please have this store remodeled? The new gates up front (thefts I’m sure) makes it feel like you’re entering/exciting a prison. Not very inviting:("
