"I just can't shout it loud enough or long enough how strongly I feel about the level of care I received during my recent stay at Sumner Regional Hospital! From the Doctors to each and every nurse, tech or employee at Sumner Regional, I was treated with the utmost care, compassion, love & respect by them all! It wasn't just that they were professional & competent, which they certainly were, but they actually cared for me! Among the fine physicians, Dr. Newton & her staff stand out in my memory....I'll never forget her/them! Dr. Marcos Cruz met us back at the Imaging Place on Monday (I believe) to personally supervise a post hospital stay CT Scan and the kind, compassionate care continued! Dr. Cruz (1st time we've met) turned out to be a very knowledgeable professional in his field and also, of most importance, a caring, loving, friendly guy, obviously working in his God-given calling and made me feel as if I was being taken care of by a family member. Since my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a couple uncles, great-uncles etc....etc are all MD's.....I know the feeling very well and what I'm talking about. I'll sum all this up by saying, if ever in the future I'm given a choice, I'll choose to receive any future medical care at Sumner Regional, choosing Sumner Regional Hospital over any other hospitals & their staff's in the area!
