"I originally wrote a negative review because the manager falsely accused a friend of shoplifting. it turned out to be a case of mistake and identity. My friend went in to prove his innocence, yet they shut him down and scapegoated him. Eventually, after we approached the manager and the owner with more concerns, they reviewed the camera footage and realized their mistake. I’m still upset at how they initially treated my friend and how they continued to ignore him after he went back to try to work this out with him. Eventually, my friend’s persistence paid off. I hope that they will be more careful before jumping to conclusions in the future. I do appreciate that eventually we’re open minded enough to apologize."

"Usually have a good experience at Scotty’s but was shopping yesterday and using the green tote store basket. It was absolutely filthy! I purchased a loaf of Raymond’s bread that I had to discard because the bag it comes in was open and the bread slipped out onto the tote. I mentioned the state of the tote to the cashier."

"Best lunch meat selection I've seen in the area, had thuringer that was excellent. Whatever they were cooking smelled wonderful too. This place has always been a great little supermarket/deli. They made great sandwiches a third of a century ago and it's nice to see they still do."

"Been shopping here for 20 years. Went by to pick up some non-dairy ice cream. Superb deli for everything from sandwiches to full-blown catering for parties. Barbecue during the summer. They have free popcorn to nibble while you shop. The only negative is they're not cheap."
