"Small nice view dog park little play area for the kids. I use to skateboard back in the day when they had a snake run to mini flat bowl. Those where the days. Nice but grass area too. Can't go wrong except for no parking really."
"Dog park with separate smaller one for small dogs. A multiple use field and 2 play structures one for infants/toddlers. A stones throw away from the harbor which you can walk on both sides of. It's a great place to spend time and is very serene."
"It is a decent park. I like that they added the dog park (and that it is now fenced in all the way). However, I've been going to this park since I was a little kid. I miss the playground stuff that used to be there. And still not sure why they ripped out all the spaces that had the squishy ground. I appreciate that they kept some of the old climbing stuff. But it just doesn't seem as exciting to go there anymore without the old playground. I do still bring my kids here when I visit. There's still a tiny skate park area, and I love that they kept all the wood stump things, because I used to have a lot of fun jumping around on those when I was little. There's still a great view of the harbor and the stairs are still there that go directly down to the harbor. The stairs have a tiny ramp for people coming up with bikes, which is helpful. We used to love trying to walk up the ramp part as kids, too. You can get to the park from 3 different sides, since you can park on the street side, come up from the harbor, or take the little pathway that cuts in from the neighborhood on one side. Lots of grassy area to hangout and play. There's a volleyball court. It's a fairly large park. Tons of trees, and shaded picnic tables. I had many birthday parties there as a kid. Like I said, it's a great park. I just miss the old playground equipment."
"Frederick Street Park is one of my favorite parks in Santa Cruz. I love that it overlooks the yacht harbor. Lots of options at this local park. It’s changed since the last time I have been here, and they actually have a designated dog park. And it looked like a happening spot for the dogs in your life. BBQ pits, picnic tables, several playgrounds for all ages, a spot to skateboard and even a volleyball court! They also have stairs down to the harbor to walk around if you like. Restrooms are usually pretty clean and well maintained!"
"Great park. it is right next to the harbor so if any dogs don't mix well together we can just go take a nice beautiful walk"
