"Nice flowers and succulents to admire. Paved path goes through 2 school areas. Lots of activity. Safe."
"One of the best parks in San Jose. The bridge covered with vines creates this beautiful urban scenery. There’s a dog park with a colorful mural painted, nice area for picnics with grills, pool next to the playgrounds and a large grass lawn. It’s located in downtown and is surrounded by nice neighborhoods for additional walking. It is also located down the street from a light rail stop. It’s the perfect hidden gem to go hide in for a city break."
"Recently moved into the area and really enjoy all the great places to eat and relax. Beautiful photo ops as well. Lots of history in the area, can’t wait to explore more."
"Ryland is one of our go to parks daily. My kids call it the "Train Park". They have made so many friends there in the last year. Everyone is so friendly and the kids get a kick out of watching the dogs catch balls! It's about a 30 minute walk from the house or a 5 minute drive so it's perfect. There's a lot of shade and picnic tables. There's some without equipment for adults, basketball courts, a swimming pool for swim lessons, a toddler playground and an older kids playground. Something for everyone!"
"The big grass area is what I like most. There is also a kids playground, a picknick area....etc. something for everyone. This is a nice family friendly park. If you don't like dogs you probably won't like Ryland Park. Dog owners have doggy play dates on the grass around 4:30pm. We always pick up the poop. There is a horrible dog park under 87 and across the street that is a cage with a sandbase. Unlike Ryland Park it is always filled with dog poop."
