"This is an amazing gem. I love the short trails. Perfect for little kids. But enough to see and plenty things to discover. Coming from Texas this is a very nice change. Toward the end of my visit, we got a special surprise from little dears. It was wonderful."
"A true gem. The admission fee is $6 dollars. The park is well kept and there are multiple parking lots with plenty parking spots. We walked the Sanborn trail (map on All Trails). Uphill is a little rough but it’s well worth it. The lush greenery, winding trails, and diverse wildlife all make the trail pleasant. The park is also pretty family friendly, as there’s camping spots, playgrounds, and open spaces for picnic and events."
"How have I not utilized this park before?? We were there for camping, in the RV section. The RV sites are essentially a parking slip with a little bit of space behind you. There's a bench and a place for a cookout, use only charcoal. Not super exciting, but not why you come to this park. The weekend I was there, everyone was super chill. There were kids riding their bike around the circle. Folks carrying in and carrying out their camping supplies. It was just lovely Trees and open space everywhere!!!!!! Hiking, hiking, hiking everywhere!!!!!! Multiple picnic tables beside charcoal grills. Lots of folks having little get togethers. Lots of people bring their dogs, at the time of this writing, leashed dogs are allowed on the trails. They're a super strong Wi-Fi in the RV parking lot, also, that is where the cars park who are tent camping. THE NIGHT SKY!!!! I could see the night sky, everything around you is dark. Just beautiful ❣️ Oh, the bathrooms are super clean. There's even soap. Showers are available, I don't have any feedback on those. The rangers helpful and kind. The only downside was I wanted to ride my bike and I wasn't really sure where I could access the paths that allow bikes."
"One of the best state parks near the San Jose area. Many trails, hikes and other outdoor activities surrounded with many trees. A good camping spot with advance reservation required. Multiple car parking spaces to accommodate more people. We saw multiple birthday celebrations and family gathering events. State parks charge $6 for each car. We cover 50% of trails walk."
