"Dr. Vanderpool and staff are fantastic. I went there for a vein procedure and I was very apprehensive. Dr. Vanderpool performed an examination and determined the appropriate treatment. He is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was never pressured to have treatment, but due to his knowledge and professionalism, I decided to proceed. Everything went well and was much easier than I had anticipated. I have had great results and I plan on returning very soon for other offered treatments. Another service they provide is the filing of insurance for procedures covered by insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Vanderpool and staff. You won't be disappointed!!!"
"I have had a consultation at LAVE MD on skin care. I had alot of sun damage on my face due to the years of being in the sun. I was put on the Obagi regiment which has been really good for my skin. I was told that the Erbium which is a laser procedure would get rid of the brown spots and the sun damage on my face. I have had several of these procedures over a 6 month time limit. This has been a excellent procedure to take care of my concerns that I had along with the Obagi products. I would recommend anyone that has the same issues to consult with LAVE MD and get on a face care regiment. I was very pleased after the first procedure and continued on for several months for more. Everyone at LAVE MD is very professional and makes you feel really at home. I would recommend LAVE MD to my friends and family."
"I went to Lavé MD for tattoo removal, one for my lower back and one for my thigh. I decided to get the tattoo on my thigh removed first to see how the procedure went. I went in for my first treatment on my thigh…no problem. Just didn’t like how the nurse covered my eyes with goggles that made it almost impossible to see what she was doing and as a patient, I think I have the right to know whatever goes on since it’s my body they’re working on. I figure, “Okay, I guess this is how it’s supposed to go”. When I left, everything was fine and the nurse left ointment and a band-aid over the treated area, but I thought she should’ve left it uncovered, personally. I decided to come back in 4 weeks and on the second visit, this time the doctor did the treatment but the nurse was in there, and STILL my eyes were covered with these blinding goggles (why should I be blinded, SHE’S wearing the goggles you can see through and I’m stuck in the dark). Again, the ointment and band-aid were applied. A couple of days after that, I began noticing very gross bumps around the treated area and it was oozing yellow fluid. I was concerned so I called the nurse and she assured me it was normal and told me to keep it covered. One week later, I called back and told her it was getting worse and asked if I could get some sort of prescription cream or antibiotic because the infection was spreading around my thigh. Not only was the tattoo affected, it was spreading around my entire thigh. I called the nurse and told her it was an emergency and I needed to come in so she could write me a prescription for an antibiotic. She said if I could get there before she left for the day, she would get me a prescription. I rushed over there, fighting traffic along the way, and when I walk into the office, she sits me down, looks briefly at the tattoo, took pictures, and AGAIN applied ointment and a band-aid and tried to assure me AGAIN that it was normal. Before I left, she said she would send the doctor the pictures and he would determine whether or not I would need antibiotics. She called me an hour later, saying the doctor said it was normal and that I didn’t need antibiotics. I said, “Forget this”, and went to my regular doctor directly. She told me the area was very infected and prescribed me antibiotics for 10 days and an ointment that I would apply 3 times a day. By the sixth day, the infection was cleared. If you want to have an infection, get overcharged for a laser procedure, and repeatedly be misinformed and lied to, then by all means, come to Lavé MD. No communication with the nurse, wouldn’t allow me to talk to the doctor, and was lied to about my infection simply because they wanted to cover up the fact they did something wrong. This is not professionalism and professionalism is what people deserve and expect from any doctor’s office, no matter what the problem is or how much they spend (which, in this case, was a lot). Oh yeah, on a side note, I wanted my fiancé to come in and be with me during the procedure, but they told him he had to leave and wait for me in the waiting room. Guess they really do want to keep their operations cryptic and they figure an extra set of eyes might expose something shady."
