"Sanchez Adobe is a historical site and piece of California and San Francisco history . I went there on a school trip . Kids did lot of activities - lasso bull , making adobe bricks , making corn flour and making candles using cow fat . Before the Spanish arrival around 1700 , just 300 years ago , it was home of Ohlone people , who have been living in California coastal area for 5000 years. The museum has artifacts from both Pre-spanish era, Spanish era and Mexican era. The place is calm and scenic with view of Pacific Ocean."
"What a lovely hidden gem! Really cool to learn about the history of the area and Megan and Joan were very generous and wonderful docents! It was very quiet when we went so it was nice to take in all there is to see in a leisurely way. Great indoor and outdoor space."
"Becky is the best! Very knowledgeable and really loves and enjoys the place. Very helpful and willing to inform about its history. I may even become a docent. Thank you for all your help, Becky!"
"A surprise historical site we found. Did a quick look bec it was closed on July 4th. Would love to come back to see the inside of the home."
"We saw the historic marker sign on Hwy 1 and decided to stop. We really enjoyed our visit here! The Interpretive center has great displays and videos. The docent took the time to open up the adobe as well and walk us through. She was quite knowledgeable and helpful."
