"Farmers market on weekday, boat ramps, playground, restrooms, picnic tables, cement corn hole, pavilion, great views, lots of dock to view water. New park attached just north has basketball, skate and water park for kids."
"Quick gateway from the bay area! Lakeport is a nice little town by the clear lake, and Library park is one of the attractions of this quaint little town. Getting to the town could be quite adventurous as the drive gets pretty bendy~up, over and down the mountains! Lots of twists and turns! But it’s totally worth the drive. Its pretty relaxing and the views are great."
"I love Library Park. It's a lovely place to walk by the shore and hang out in the shade of the big trees. Lakeport has such a great downtown. If you visit don't just check out the park itself, but cruise around the neighborhood, see the cute storefront shops and restaurants on Main Street, go to the park in front of the old jailhouse, which is another sweet little spot to visit. I think there's a museum there which may not have reopened yet but it's still nice. Look around at the neighboring blocks at the old houses in the neighborhoods near Library Park and the Courthouse. Lakeport a sweet town that doesn't get enough credit ✨"
"A remarkably well preserved ghost town in the eastern sierra. Although there’s a lot of structures still standing, only 5% of the original buildings remain today in a state of “active decay”, which means they are repaired but not restored. Plan for at least 2 hours, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared in the summer for the heat. The self guided walking tour is the best way get the history of Bodie. I’m sure this is a good spot for families, you’ll find metal scraps, broken glass and other items from long ago spread across the site - this place is not a playground but a CA historical site. Staff is helpful, friendly and informative."
"It's a nice park if you go on a nice weather day. We went during the summer and at 8 p it was 95 degrees. It was hard to breathe the hot air. The playground was full of gnats and they were hovering over all the grassy areas in big swarms."
