"If I could give 10 stars I would. Very professional , organized and friendly crew. The owner Jeremy communicated with onsite management throughout the whole project. They were quick to problem solve our ground water issues. They even helped move resident garbage cans. One crew member saw a hazard in the street that had nothing to do with the project. He went out of his way to remove it as we did not have the onsite tools. The roads they did are perfect!! Well packed and graded , completely smooth. Everything draining properly. They even went around with brooms sweeping up resident carports after. THANK YOU ALL!!! Thank you to Jordan and his crew as well!! We cant wait to have you all back for the rest!!"
"Hi I am the owner of Parker and Son and would like to address the "review" left by Bob Powers. ( If that's his real name.) Bob is a mail person who had been driving by our worksite for a couple of days, so he knew we where there. Vest and cones were present, so we where hard to miss. On Wednesday of the last month of July, I came back to the site from getting fuel and there was a puddle of water under our skid steer. It turned out to be a water leek from service line about 3 feet down. (We where not digging on site, turns out this was the 2nd or 3rd time this line has broke) I had called the water district and had them on the way out to fix the problem, as we where clearing the site for the pump truck Mr Powers appeared in his mail truck. For some reason he had to drive onto our work site instead of parking and walking 3 feet to the mailboxes he needed to reach. Then he proceeded to slam his truck into a very visible pile of road spoils we had piled up to make room for the city workers. How he did not see or notice any of this going on, I can not say, but he proceeded to yell at me about his problems. I explained to him what was happening, that we had a water leek and we where making room for an emergency crew. He proceeded to insult me and my work and asked my name, I gave it to him, because I have nothing to hide. Then he drove to the next mailbox where I did run down and asked him his name so I could have it for later, he did not answer, at this time one of my crew was yelling at him, which I asked them stop. He asked me if I had a problem, I told him that I did with his attitude, he then just drove off. A witness commented that he was a jerk with a few other choice words. So more or less I am just writing to say there are always more than one side to a story. Feel free to make fun of my 3 star rating, it is what my nephew gave me! Thanks P.S. By the way, Mckinleyville's water repair crew are awesome and great working crew. They fixed the leak very fast and did it right. Thanks guys!"
"The engineering firm I worked for at the time managed a large public works construction project and hired Parker and Sons for all of the site work. The project included significant concrete flat work, parking lot paving, drainage installation, excavation, and grading. They were also required to work onsite with various other contractors and subcontractors for underground provision. The company bid very competitively and performed the work according to project plans and specifications. When construction required changes and additions, Parker and Sons were very compliant and flexible. The company team was very personable, reasonable, and professional. The work passed all inspection with both the city and strict state review, and the final billing came in under budget. Their work and attitudes led us to seek their bid on other projects, to recomend them to other clients, and I look forward to working with them again in the future."
"This guy is a disaster. I have never seen unprofessionalism at this level. When questioned. He tried to get in a fight. His sidekick got really aggressive. If you use them, there is something wrong with you."
"We live on a 1 mile dirt and gravel road in Kneeland off Greenwood Heights road. We have been up here in the mountains since 1996. The road and our steep driveway gets a lot of abuse during the rains and snow and really start to tear up our cars. Parker and Sons just brought a great crew up here and made it like new in 2 or 3 days. This is the second time on a few years Jeremy and his crew have worked on our road. They do great work, fast and friendly with all the neighbors up here. Our roads have never looked so good in the 25 years we have been here. Prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend Parker and Son for your next road project. The best in Humboldt. Landy Hardy"
