"I wanna write this review on Marissa - ong ima gold child and messing me up ? Unrequested orders as I’ve seen on previous google reviews."
"I will not name the stylist unless it is asked for. I have been to this person 2 times and was expecting a 3 time this year. I made my third appt 4 months in advance and have been really looking forward to something that she told me to wait for back in July as they didn't feel comfortable bleaching my hair then. A couple days before my appt the stylist reached out to cancel due to family matters and will reach back out when in town again. I did not complain and said i totally understood the emergency. Mind you they were going to be back in a couple weeks for sure for a hair class at the salon so they knew a time frame at least. I noticed they were back in town 2 days later after they informed me of the cancelation. Kinda got the sense the excuse wasn't real. I reached out and asked respectfully when we would be able to reschedule. They told me that their December calendar was up and to check that. I booked my appointment 4 months ago, took time off of work, and they canceled on me. So instead of trying to fit a paying client in for the inconvenience they caused, they would rather you get inconvenienced again and book another month later. No thank you. I have reached out to confirm if they will not be trying to fit me in this month of Nov and have not heard back. Now they are ignoring me and showing how truly unprofessional they are. To be canceled on and not rescheduled in a reasonable amount of time then ignored is truly bad business. I pay their rate, tip accordingly and their assistant which I didn't realize the stylist takes care of the assistant, trusted them, and all to get ignored and blown off. I truly believe they care more about blowing up on IG with likes and followers by doing influencers and not caring about the regular paying clients who just want their hair done. My first session was great though highly photoshopped in the pic since I was not looking too cute. My second was OK but no complaints. I was excited for the third one in hopes it will be what I wanted since before the 2nd appt. Be aware of the policies here and that there are consequences if you have to cancel or reschedule but if they cancel on you then they will just ignore you if you try to reschedule. Very unprofessional and so rude. Will never recommend."
"I absolutes love this salon. It’s such a vibe the music, and it’s located in downtown Covina. This will be my 3rd time . Looking forward to my appointment Sunday. They offer cute snacks chips, candy, coffee, waters and etc…!"
"I just wanted to share my experience with this salon. Maybe others had a positive experience but mine was alright I wouldn't recommend this salon. I was trying to find their yelp page but they didn't have one so here I am. When I walked in there was no receptionist to greet me, I just stood there awkwardly until a hairstylist greeted me while she did someone's hair which I found kinda funny. I waited for the bathroom and it took like 20 mins because they only have one. I was greeted by a hairstylist's assistant and not the actual hairstylist that I booked with because she was still doing someone's hair. So the assistant took me to get my hair washed but then all the wash bowls were taken so she said we had to wait another like 5-10 mins until one opens. Like jeez so many red flags and my hair service didn't even begin yet. Finally the hairstylist greets me and starts cutting my hair. I asked for LOTS of layers in the back and in the front and she didn't even do that. Once she was done cutting my hair she didn't even ask me did u want to go shorter in the back or do u like the haircut so far. She just started blowdrying my hair. I was shocked. I was like ok maybe she will cut more layers once it dries, but nope she barely cut my hair. Even her assistant wasn't friendly she didn't even engage in small talk with me which I understand but if you want to be a hairstylist later on I expected a bit of small talk or ask how my day was so It won't be awkward while i'm just sitting there in silence. This salon prob treats regular clients more nicely instead of new clients. It was my first time here and I was excited but my experience was horrible in my opinion. It was $100 for a haircut which I didn't mind but when I tell you she BARELY cut my hair even though I asked for lots of layers and shorter front pieces. The stylist was Miranda."
