"Updated review, 11/30/2022: Place has vastly improved. Generally helpful employees, only complaint is the system they use for transactions seems a bit dated and takes a fair amount of time but oh well. Old review, about 2019: Unhelpful employees, and an archaic disjointed way of doing business (writing tickets). They also don't mind to keep you waiting. NOTE: they will NOT perform any metal cuts 30min-closing time. (Essentially, they close some of their services 30 minutes prior to their advertised closing time.) I wish North County had another metal yard with similar (or more!) stock, and slightly longer hours on the weekdays and on Saturday."

"First time visiting its a cluster f&%k... the guys on there floor are friendly and efficent. The girl at the checkout window is a miserable human that clearly hates her job. Really distasteful and off putting for sure, like everyone is supposed to know the company procedures walking in the door for the first time. When you show up check in with one of the guys on the floor, they will write you a cut ticket, then you take that to the cashiers window and pay.... If not you'll waste time standing in line to pay for material and have to deal with condensing Ms. Personality herself who will rudely instruct on seeing the guys first. Totally a$$ backwards from any other steel supply on earth."

"Well it's an industrial metals shop so nothing fancy. They said my material was in stock but it wasn't when I arrived for pickup. Kinda my fault. I should have made sure it was ready at will call before I stopped by. Good prices for bulk metal and they have some really good prices on surplus if you get lucky and they have what you need."

"Never had a problem here. The workers are great. Some of the workers saw me standing around (while waiting for my pieces to get cut) and they came up to me to check if I've been helped. Decent supply of new and used metal. Even the new metal has decent prices."

"I have used this company for years, not often but several times a year. They are always busy and sometimes you will need to wait for help. As with any business, staffing is a huge cost and we all deal with getting staffing levels right. I find everyone there always helpful and they always seem to to have what I want and the quantities that I need. Good pricing and a knowledgeable staff. Don't know why that other person bashed them, never had an issue.."
