"You'd be better off buyer from somewhere that guarantees their product. Even vinyl would look better after one year. We know lumber is expensive but we thought we were buying high-quality lumber when Larry's fence picked this out. Within a couple of weeks of installation many boards were warped. Let than a year later, despite multiple coats of stain/paint, wood has split and warped and it looks older than I do and I'm old and disabled so I don't look young. The wood needed sanding before we could paint it. It bows in many places. There are lots of knots and chunks missing. We just thought it would be stronger straighter, and better looking than it is and I'm real sorry we went with Larry's fence recommendations and didn't just get a vinyl fence. Not worth getting wood like this from J&W, imho. We're used to lumber grown and milled in the USA (not sure where this lumber came from-China perhaps?). I understand why people get vinyl instead and seeing the quality of this wood makes me understand why houses in Chula Vista look prefab. If you are disabled and elderly you may find yourself taken advantage of."
