"I'm not entirely sure why this keep happening, but this experience has happened more than once. I've walked in to ask for wood. This time it was a 3/4" piece of sanded birch plywood, the price I was quoted: 89.99$ Now... I wrote it off to inflation but that's incredibly ridiculous so I walked out thinking to price check other places. I check Home Depot in Ceres. Same piece: 54.99$. So ok, maybe they misunderstood about the board size? I dunno, but it's also not the first time this has happened. Last year I went in for a simple 2x4 as that was the place I was closest and was quoted a price of 18.99$, so instead went to True Value in town and bought the piece for less than 10! It's consistently perplexing to me why this place has such a massive price discrepancy."
