Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! They do their best to steal your money! We had the most terrible experience ever! We were so excited to paint our house ourselves. We went to this store and the staff gave us advice to choose the color we like. But then the trouble started. First of all, the seller convinced us to buy the paint more than what we expected to use just in case. And he ensured that as long as the can is not opened we can return the paint within 30 days of the purchase if we end up not using it. Then he calculated the wrong price for us. My husband noticed the mistake but the seller was insisting that his calculation is correct. After we insisted, he finally fixed the bill. Long story short, we came back to the store a few days ago to return 4 cans of paint and they did not accept 2 of them. Apparently these 2 are not returnable. However, at the time of purchase I confirmed with them several times if we can return and they did not tell us if there is any exceptions. Although it was clearly their fault, they even didn't care to apologize and simply refused to accept the return. I feel like we’ve been scammed!"

"So, this whole saga at the paint store was a complete disaster. We were all hyped up to pick colors for our house, but it was nothing but trouble. The prices? Through the roof, and totally not worth it – felt like we were being majorly overcharged. They also did a total 180 on us about returning any extra paint. And don’t get me started on the drama of getting the right paint cans. The icing on the cake? When we called their headquarters to complain, the guy on the phone pretended he couldn’t hear us. Like, really? Everything about this place screamed shady and just not worth the premium price. My advice? Stick to the major retailers like Home Depot. At least you know what you’re getting into there."

"My husband was looking for help/information on how best to change our fence color, i.e. staining or painting. I was there to help him decide color. He had a lot of questions and Vincent answered every one! He was extremely knowledgeable about the products, how they reacted to various wood conditions and what our expectations should be. He suggested we bring in a sample of the fence to help us determine what had been used previously and how to best cover it. Never did we feel pressured. The service was exemplary. We’ve found all the staff at the Morgan Hill store to be knowledgeable, helpful and polite."

"Great paint store with an awesome team. The store ran out of the product and size that I am looking for. But the sales, Shasta, is super patient, helping me searching the inventory from nearby stores and even called them to confirm of the product availability. As a customer who does not have much knowledge of paint, I feel I have been taken great care of. Definitely will come back for any paint that I need in the future."

"Good place to buy a dented can of paint. Clerk also asked me if I wanted an opener and supplied me with an old, much used one (see photo). Didn't notice the dent in the can until I got home. It was significant, near the top and looked like it might be hard to get a good seal if I needed to close it again. After returning it, the same clerk and another one tried to avoid replacing the can. After I persisted, they finally said a replacement would be sent to the store the following day. After applying the paint, discovered it to be streaky. Will not be returning to this store."
