Not a single issue with the car when I dropped it off. Jared keeps giving me the run around, I’m not the only one this is happening to, cars at the shop can be seen with “call me back” written in the dust."

"For ANYONE looking to get a motor rebuilt for their M5/M6, Jared @ GMI Autodynamic in Santa Ana, California is who you need to go too! Car was shipped from St. Louis, Mo out to Jared. He flew in town to make sure the car got on the transport truck safely. Once it got to his shop (9 days later due to winter storm) he started his magic. Jared kept me up to date on everything going on and did a fantastic job putting in the motor. I fly out to Orange County to pick the car up, I spent a few days exploring LA and seeing the great views in California. After the few days I spent there I drove home little under 2,000 miles. The car did absolutely amazing, not a single issue. Jared is the one and only person I’d ever have work on my M6. This guy is excellent at his job. If you have any motor issues please do yourself a favor and go to Jared @ GMI Autodynamics."

"Thought I’d post a review here since engine rebuilds looks to be a starting trend with the S63tu as higher mileages are being attained. In no way, shape, or form was I asked to do a review. It wasn’t insinuated at all. There just tends to be a lot of negativity when it comes to this community and the different shops that take on the challenges of bringing these engines back to life so I thought this would shed some positive light. I decided to have my 2014 F10 M5 engine rebuilt by GMI Autodynamics here in Santa Ana CA. I spent a long while trying to decide who I was going to send my car to. I didn’t want to purchase a motor unseen and have it installed elsewhere, I wanted everything done in-house at the same shop. I was mainly looking to send it out of state to have the rebuild done. That is, until I got in contact with Jared at GMI Autodynamics. We had a couple conversations about what I was going for on Instagram and ultimately had my car towed to his shop (he met me at his shop after hours to have it delivered). My car was still running when I dropped it off to him but I didn’t want to drive it to cause any more potential damage. After about a day or so, he informed me that based on the results of the compression test, that it was recommended that i just go forward with the rebuild vice what I was originally hoping/going for. After a couple days and second opinions, I decided to go forward with the engine rebuild with Jared at GMI. From what I researched, he is the only person on the west coast that actually has experience building these engines. From what I understand, experience is everything with these cars. Seeing his workspace and the cars he was working on first hand, I knew I was making the best decision logistically and financially. I got pictures of the build all throughout the process and he kept me informed. He even went above and beyond on how I wanted the engine to look. The quality of work and attention to detail is top notch. I didn’t have any loose or missing bolts, no broken clips. When I dropped the car off, I had a few broken clips from when my catless down pipes were installed by another shop, he replaced all of them and put them how they should be. As of now, the car runs great and he went above and beyond after I had received the car to get some other things fixed. If anyone is looking to have their engine rebuilt on the west coast, this is the place to go."
