"I had a appointment with H & R Block to file my taxes. I explained to the senior tax analyst, at the Highway 96, Franklin, TN office, that I had previous tried to file online and was unsure of the result I received stating I owed money this year, and in previous years I always received a refund, so I wanted a professional to make sure it was correct before I filed. Her immediate response was "whatever result I received was correct" without her looking at a single piece of paper that I had with me or putting any information into the filing system, or knowing what filing system I used previous. I asked her if she could look at what I had put in and she stated "she did not know that software so she could not look at it, but was sure it was correct." She then proceeded to tell me that "she did not want to start over with H & R Block if i was not willing to file and pay for the service of her to do so", which was never discussed prior to that statement. I was onsite, in the office to file that day, with the intention of paying. She then proceeded to tell me that she was "just to busy and had to much work to do" and she "just did not want to do it". Being it was the weekend, I had to wait until Monday to call and ask to speak to the office manager. After three phone calls I finally got a answer and was told "he was not in the office" on this day. I got his name and and asked when he would be in. The response I received was "that's the problem, there is no one here". I called the next day again to speak with the office manager. After four(4) phone calls, I got a answer. The response I received was again "he's not in today." I proceeded to ask when would he be in and the response was "I don't know". I called again that afternoon, the manager was still "not in". Eight(8) phone calls, five(5) of them went unanswered, and a flat out refusal to help. Completely unacceptable customer service!"

"I had originally scheduled an appointment with a different tax service. I have a 1 year old and we live in Fairview so the thought of driving 30 minutes to do a process that could take an hour was not on my short list of things to do. They weren't open when I was scheduled so I looked for other options and found Sharon at H&R Block! She was absolutely amazing! She handled our unique situation with no problem. When my baby got upset Chuck chased him around the office while I finished up signing the papers. And they were even willing to hold our file until tonight so my husband could go sign his portion after work! That other place will not see my business again, or ever actually.
