"Don’t waste your time with these people. All they want to do is scam u for the service fees. They came out claimed in was an electrical issue when it was clearly a compressor issue. All they want is just a handout"
"Waited 3 days for the technician to upload additional information required by CHW and they never did! Being without A/C is horrible enough, and having to wait for something that is supposed to take only hours is frustrating! Worst customer experience I have ever received. PLUS, they NEVER EVER answer the phone. I get an automated message from “Cody” and he HAS NEVER responded to my texts. I’m not even sure how the company even has the CHW contract but they shouldn’t!"
"Ultimately had to have CHW "fire" this company and send out a new company. The technician Jody, who came out was excellent and would 100% hire him if he started his own company. However the Expert office staff is the reason they lost a customer, not Jody. Let me reiterate that again for Expert, YOUR OFFICE STAFF AND CODY LOST A CUSTOMER!!! Cody would promise to have a technician at a certain time, then will lie directly to you and say they never said that or CHW made up a time (despite it being a three way call with CHW and Expert where Cody gave a time). The office staff fails to actually inform their technicians that customers were added to their schedule and then when you call they tell you the technician is on their way. What's really happening is they are then calling their technician and adding you to their already packed schedule. This company's office staff is extremely unreliable and will lie and blame any one else but take responsibility for their own actions. I really hope that CHW removes them from their service providers because they have no interest in actually serving their customers from start to finish. 6/4: No contact by technician or Expert causing me to reach out at 2pm. Was told the technician had 5 more customers and I was one of them and likely it was going to be after 3pm. I waited around until 4:15pm before I had to leave for work. Was called at 530pm by the technician that he was on his way and that I was just added to his schedule at 2pm on 6/4 despite being told the day prior that I was already on the schedule. 5/29 A/C went out again, and recall was put in with CHW and was told Expert would call. Three days later and still no response from Expert I called and was told by Cody that CHW put in the recall wrong (despite being told by CHW that it was put in correctly and an email was sent to Expert). Was told that a technician would be out on 6/4 between 11-3p 5/26: Expert did make their window on 5/26 and determined that the A/C was overcharged and needed about 4lbs of Freon removed. Technician completed work and A/C began to work well again. Disappointed that the freon levels were not investigated the first time they came out. 5/22: After three days of trying to get ahold of Expert, was told by Cody with Expert that CHW made up a time and that Expert never actually talked to CHW. This was a blatant lie, as I was on the call with CHW when Cody told them they would be out on 5/19. Was told that someone could be out on Friday 5/26. 5/19 Update: It took CHW calling and forcing Expert to schedule a recall date which was supposed to be between 11am-3pm on 5/19. No one called nor did anyone show up. Will continue to update this review. 5/17 Update: Unit has since been making extremely loud noises upon coming on each time as well as a hissing noise. We were told that is normal as the technician heard it on the original visit and said it would go away as it ran. since then over the course of a few days has the unit has lost all cooling capabilities. Since this was a home warranty call I put in for a recall through CHW and was told to contact Expert for an appointment. Called the number on 5/15 and was told by Cody that someone would call me 5/16 to set up an appointment. No one called. Called again 5/16 in the afternoon and was told the same thing that someone would call 5/17 AM and be out on 5/17 to fix. Afternoon of 5/17 after no communication called CHW who finally forced Cody to give a hard set time that they would show. Right now I’ve changed my review to how the communication I’ve gotten has been. I hope I can change it back to the original, but it seems like this company doesn’t honor their contract with CHW to do recalls within the thirty days of the claim and instead pushes customers off over and over again (as per other reviews from CHW customers)"
"Technician arrived on time and was quick in assessing the issue. AC is now blowing cold air and we are happy. Technician was professional. We would definitely recommend."
"I was assigned a technician- Cody Smith- from Choice Home Warranty. He came out to collect the service fee and CHW ordered the parts needed to fix my heat AND AC system. Weeks went by and I tried to patiently wait on the tech to pick up the parts that were ordered. Two whole months after him coming out to look I finally called CHW to see what was going on. I was told since Cody took so long to pick up the parts, the order was cancelled. They spoke with Cody on the phone and Cody was supposed to provide the parts himself since the order was cancelled. I was told Cody would be contacting me shortly to discuss. When i didn’t receive a call (no surprise) I contacted him myself. Every single word Cody said on our call was a blatant lie. He said he had not been called by CHW, that he didn’t pick up the parts because it wasn’t the complete order, and that he could not supply parts and that I would have to contact CHW again to reorder. Choice Home Warranty verified that everything Cody said was a lie. I have been without heat and air for over TWO MONTHS because he could care less to work for more than the $75.00 service charge. I have now been reassigned to another company and have to start completely over. STOP USING THIS COMPANY CHW—READ THE REVIEWS. And if Cody is your technician, don’t be patient like I was. Blow up his phone to make sure he’s going to do the job."
