"Many years ago before smartphones, driving by Rudy's shop I saw a Shelby AC Cobra, so I pulled a u-turn and went to check it out. It was an original, so that burned into my mind that the owner of a $500k-$1mil Cobra thought to take his rare gem to Rudy's in Costa Mesa instead of all the high roller (Ferrari, Lambo, McClaren, etc) car shops around OC. Fast forward several years and I needed a place to store cars. It took me a year or more to convince Rudy to let me rent his side garage, and now I'm in my 2nd year there. It is such a perfect facility for an auto shop. His dad actually built the buildings himself. Rudy is much the same way, nothing mechanical/electical phases him. He is so good at what he does, and when working he moves so fluidly - he's got all the steps in his head. It's always fun to watch him work honestly. You get more than what you pay for with labor for sure - he is extremely efficient with his time and will explain every option thoroughly. His wife is often at the shop also, and she is super "on-it" and a sweetheart. So if you have a high end domestic collector that needs some work done, he definitely won't keep your car forever like other shops. I hope this review helps someone give him a shot, God forbid anyone reading this has something break unexpectedly."
