"Dr. Goldin is one of the most respected and well known psychiatrists in the state. Further, many Neuro Psychologists if not all have great reverence for his vast knowledge from which many still use as a resource today. I was honored to have been a patient for 8 years, I was devastated to learn of his retirement. He is the most kind-hearted, honest, honorable, caring, and Supreme advocate for all of his patients. He was like my second father, and he will be missed terribly."

"Two stars rather than zero because my husband and daughter both appreciate and respect Dr. Goldin when they actually sit with him but if I could give negative stars for his responsiveness to phone calls for prescription refills then I would. I’m talking about anti depressants, not some frequently abused pain pills or other controlled substance. Both my husband and daughter have had the same experience most every time they need to refill their prescriptions. First, it’s very difficult to have anyone answer the phone so you leave a message which isn’t returned at all or in no reasonable amount of time so you call multiple times on multiple days til you can get someone to answer. Next the person answering, none too pleasant, says she will have Dr Goldin call in your prescription. This rarely happens so you go back to step one. Each time you reach his assistant on the same matter she is more irritated, as if you are the problem. There may be multiple repeats of the above on any given month. Some months my husband and daughter have made the mistake of assuming their prescriptions were ready and have gone to their pharmacies only to discover no meds. The pharmacies, both CVS and Kroger, have tried to reach Dr. Goldin for these refills; also to no avail. I’ve just left the pharmacy on behalf of my daughter; CVS was nearly as frustrated as I am. This is not an isolated incident. This is not a matter of the patient not making their appointments. Dr. Goldin knows better than anyone what happens to a person with depression who abruptly stops taking their medication. It isn’t pretty and this isn’t okay. My husband brought this to Dr. Goldin’s attention on his last visit. The information was received coldly. Yes, the simple answer is to find another psychiatrist, and we will, but that often requires months long waits. This is an inexcusable practice and I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to deal with it."

"Dr. Golfing was my father's doctor for many years and he was an awesome doctor. My family was very happy with the progress that he had with my father. "Dr. Goldin is an AMAZING doctor. I trust him 100% with my mental health needs. He always listens to me and my concerns and problems. He is kind and incredibly intelligent. I will never see another psychiatrist as long as he is in practice. One of his receptionists is super sweet, and I always enjoy seeing her. (Unfortunately I can't think of her name, but she has been there many years!) The other one has an attitude problem, which I find a little off-putting considering she is speaking with people who are frequently dealing with incredibly difficult issues. Honestly, she does not affect me or my opinion of Dr. Goldin, and after seeing him for 15 years, I will happily put up with any small hassle to continue receiving treatment from him. He has saved my life many times -- seriously!"

"Dr. Goldin has been a constant in my life for almost 20 years. Great listener and practitioner. It took several years of my life to find him. And I'm happy to stay. I'd like to address the staffing mentioned in previous reviews. The ladies do not go out of their way to be "friendly". But, we are not here to be friends. It is a small staff. The ladies know their jobs and do them well. No time for pleasantries, just work. Oh, and I seldom have to wait more than 5 - 10 minutes upon arrival. I can appreciate the efficiency."
