Reviews of Parks Auction Company LLC
"Would highly recommend using a different company. We used Parks auction this past year for my mother in laws estate sale and we had several problems starting with Kristy Bailey and her husband that got so confrontational with me we had to ask him to leave the property. On sale day we asked if any of them could help with traffic control because her driveway was long steep and only one car could fit at a time. They said that wasn’t their job and we’d have to do it. So my wife and I took turns at the bottom of the driveway guiding traffic. At a couple different points, people needed help loading, and since we were on “traffic duty “, we asked if they could help these ladies load a desk, she also said they don’t help load things, that it was up to us. On another instance a lady bought several small things and Kristy’s people gave her a cooler from another lot to carry it all to her car. The cooler, which was purchased by one of my mother in laws friends, never returned. It was immediately brought to Kristy’s attention and she said there was nothing she could do about it. She has the sale list, she knows who won that lot, call them and tell them that’s not theirs, bring it back. Speaking of having the sale list, we had over 80 lots that were sold, but NEVER paid for and never picked up that totaled over $500. Which mean’s apparently Parks has a cash option I didn’t know about. What makes that more upsetting is that Kristy said she knew who it was and that he’s done it before. How? How do they let that keep happening? And since they apparently have a pay later option, I’d like to see her receipts of all the things they “bought”. They had a white trailer out there loading it up themselves. It was imperative that we got everything sold and gone that day cause they were taking house photos the next day for the realtor. Now we have a garage full of stuff we had to get rid of. We asked we asked Kristy for the list of no show/no pays, she said she’d have to send it when she got home, but never did. We emailed her the next day and then she said we’d have to wait till after the weekend now. Another week went by we emailed again and no more responses. She really wanted to protect this guy for some reason. A few months went by and we emailed our grievances about her to the company and still nothing. So we figured we should at least warn others before signing on with them. Do yourselves a favor and go with a company like McLemore instead. We’ve never had any problems with them and when you buy stuff there it’s paid for before you pick it up. So there could still be no shows I guess but at least you got your money. The reason we went with Parks instead is because it was a bit cheaper percentage they take, and we needed all we could get for my mother in law’s medical bills, but you get what you pay for I guess. I can’t tell you how bad I wish we’d paid the little extra and gone with McLemore instead. We had a lot going on with my mother in law sick and mounting bills, and this should have been the best way to get everything done and gone. She passed away shortly after so we had to deal with all this and that too. So learn from our mistake and use someone else if you’re selling, even if it cost more, it’ll be worth it."
"All the people at Parks Realtor were amazing to work with. Thank you all so very much."
"We recently used Parks to auction of my mother’s personal estate after she moved into independent living following my father’s passing. Kristie Bailey made what was a difficult and emotional time as easy as possible. She was true to her word on everything and very responsive during the process. A bit thanks to LeRoy also for helping with item pickup. Y’all are a great team. Thank you!"
"My awful experience is with one employee in particular, Kristie Bailey. I recently won 4 small lots at an auction that closed this Sunday. I was going to be driving over an hour and needed to pick up my items at 2pm to be back in time to get my daughter from school. I reached out to Kristie via txt as soon as I realized I needed to sign up for a specific pickup time within a 4 hour pickup window. I did not get a response so I called 830am the next day (day of pickup) no response. Tried a third time 907am and was told I needed to have signed up and its stated on the website. We got off the phone and I went back to see if in error I had overlooked it. Could not find it so I reached out again, Kristie informed me that it was there and that she would have someone send it over ( without asking any of my information). I stated I just wanted a refund then since no where does it state that I needed to sign up to come pickup the items I had already paid her for. She immediately and rudely told me NO and hung up on me. I was/am very upset in how this was handled and cannot believe this woman works with the public."
"My wife and have been purchasing items through Bob Parks online auctions for the last 3 years. We observed and noted the customer service and skill levels of all the auctioneers in charge and when it came time to sell my Mom's personal property and real estate, there was only one choice for us, the team of Kristie Bailey and Dale Nichols. Kristie does an amazing job of setting up and organizing the personal property lots. She and Leon made a stressful time light hearted and encouraging. In the past, they have always been so friendly and courteous when we would pickup out items. Great people, and I highly recommend them!"
