About the Wiser-Patten Science Hall
Wiser-Patten Science Hall, located at 422 Old Main Circle in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is a part of Middle Tennessee State University. Recently renovated alongside the Davis Science Building, the institution now boasts state-of-the-art facilities as part of the Science Corridor of Innovation. With a total investment of $20 to $25 million over the past two years, students in programs such as geosciences, forensic research, physics, astronomy, and mechatronics engineering now have access to expanded laboratory and classroom spaces. The historic Wiser-Patten Science Hall, originally opened in 1932, has maintained its traditional appearance while adding modern amenities such as natural lighting and updated technology. The grand reopening ceremony on February 15 highlighted the university's commitment to research, student recruitment, and entrepreneurial efforts. With over 110,000 square feet of science space, students and faculty can now collaborate in first-class labs and innovative learning environments. The institution's dedication to science education is further demonstrated by upcoming events such as the Great Tennessee Eclipse Event, sponsored by Turner Construction Co. Visitors to the Science Corridor will experience a blend of science and technology, with access to advanced equipment and resources for both academic and research purposes.

Reviews of Wiser-Patten Science Hall
"The new renovation to the building is awesome. The front entrance is much more open and has comfortable places for students to sit, relax, and study. The renovation and redesign of the building was very well done. I'm excited to try out the new labs next semester. It is also very clean. I would like to add that the observatory is very nice. The telescope is large and very high tech. The smaller telescopes are also high tech, even though they might be a little old. There are Star Parties on the first Friday of every month during the Fall and Spring semesters. The Star Parties are open to the public. The Star Parties are run by the Physics professors and students. Feel free to ask questions and enjoy stargazing with the telescopes. Weather permitting of course."
