"Replaced zipper on my TUMI backpack. Amazing work. Good as new! Best repair in MB."
"Good work but a tad expensive. I paid $85 for a new leather strap for a Coach bag. But I will say the quality is great and it matches the trim perfectly."
"I’ve gone to Salvatore’s for over 20 years. When I worked at Wrights it was the place they’d recommend to customers. Harry is the most knowledgeable & honest person you’ll ever meet who truly cares abt his trade. A gem in Manhattan beach!!"
"I had a necklace's buckle clasp repaired here after 3 jewelry stores told me they couldn't help me with leatherwork. The repair job was sturdy and pretty, and since it was a simple repair it was done quickly. The surrounding area is very nice to walk around, and street parking is free just a couple blocks up the road. Be sure your instructions are clear from the start, because I realized after I left that the clasp was attached upside-down from the way that the necklace is intended to be worn. I would have thought the direction of the necklace (shiny side out, tarnished side against the skin) would be clear, but I suppose it wasn't. I came back a few days later and was charged a few dollars more to have it corrected."
"I dropped my ankle strap heels off so the elastic on the buckle could be repaired. When I picked them up, one of the buckles was sewn on backwards, so I took them back to get fixed. I was appalled at the quality when I went to pick them up the second time. The leather was missing a chunk out of it! When he went to take out the stitching from the already incorrect placement of the buckle, he just cut the leather. Not to mention, the new stitching job was terrible. The response to the cut leather and stitching was "nobody will see it". Are you kidding me?! This is bad craftsmanship and quality. Rather than rectify it by offering my money back, that's what you have to say? I asked for my money back and he only gave me half since it was "just one shoe". I had always used Salvatore's for my shoe repairs and will never be going back."
