"We recently sold our house, and the buying-party selected this agency for closing. There was a sign on the suite door indicating that masks were required, but inside, no one was masked (in complete disregard of the county mask mandate and CDC guidelines). When we (a couple with two young children) walked into the meeting room, the agent (unmasked!) did not acknowledge our existence, so there was no opportunity to nicely ask the agent to put on a mask. Our party, except for the baby, all wore a mask, including the toddler and our realtor, and after a few minutes the buyer put on their mask. The agent still did not mask up. We showed up on time, but spent an hour sitting around waiting to sign our papers (maybe that’s standard practice, but that would be nice to know in advance), in a small, poorly ventilated room, without a word being spoken to us. In short, we were ignored and our health was put at risk. This is inexcusable and incredibly unprofessional!! Response to Response from the owner below: After checking the company website I can confirm that this was posted to the correct business. Our closing had been moved from Lenoir City to Knoxville, where there is a country mask mandate. The response further confirms that Paramount Title Services does not care to keep its employees or its customers safe, since they do not require masks. This is especially careless since "Most people in our area do not wear them," increasing the risk of spread. Their website landing page specifies that as part of their COVID-19 mitigating strategies they are "Removing children’s coloring books and crayons from our lobby," but from the response this does not appear to be the case."
