"The lady that was working at the office on 03-02-2024 at 11:30 am needs to learn how to talk to customers. I can't help it if you are having a bad day, that doesn't give you the right to take it out on the public. Someone needs to teach her how to deal with the general public. I worked in the public for over 40 years and never once did I talk to my customers the way she talked to me. No matter how made I was."

"Agree many packages late or lost. However staff do the best they possibly can based on there budget. Many of the rural carriers drive in the worst roads and conditions imaginable, the drivers work hard in grueling conditions at times. This location needs a federal grant to relocate to a more desirable location with drive through drop off boxes and adequate customer parking. Also USPS needs to assure a better quality routing system with more help to brace this failing post office, mostly due to overgrowth and short resources. Access to this location is horrible, understaffed, overwhelmed by duties an have no room to move in this location. Oakland deserves a better post office and the employees deserve the respect of doing there best despite the massively underfunded small failing building they are forced to work out of. People can only produce so much when understaffed, cramped and massive growth until USPS steps in and builds a new post office and expands the personals. Oakland is growing , USPS needs to keep up with the pace! As for my local drivers they are the best and very professional and friendly doing the very best they can afforded there support!"

"Usps and Google both show that the office is open until 4:30, this is not true. The office closes at 3:30. Also don't expect them to reopen after lunch on time. If the worker has to stay late from the morning shift for any reason they will take a full hour for their lunch. Why they close from noon to 1pm is ridiculous a time when they would be busy due to people going on a break"

"This is not directed to the Oakland TN post office specifically (but from the reviews it appears to be indicative of the problem);I sent an extremely important correspondence via Certified mail on 10/30/2023, on my receipt (which included a tracking number). The estimated arrival date in Merced, CA was 11/04/2023. To keep this review short and to the point, the envelope arrived today 11/13/2023, a full 2 weeks after being mailed and a full 9 days after the estimated arrival date. Totally unacceptable, period, end of story."

"The times that I've been there, for the most part, no problem, but they get their employees on loan from other post offices. Not a good way to treat a growing community. The hours on the internet read close at 4:30pm but they close at 3:30pm. Got there at 3:32 on day and they wouldn't service me. I told them the operating hours show 8:30am to 4:30pm. They said not my problem."
