"l met this ministry about two years ago, such a blessing to the city, an anointed prayer group that prays every week faithfully. When you have a prayer group your pastor will come in the presence and bath in the anointing of God."
"Visited for first time at the Victorian Christmas message. Great message in a clear way. Great start to the holiday season. (Chair could have been a little bigger). Great experience. Great presentation."
"First Assembly is such an anointed church. The members are kind and loving. I attend Tuesday prayer meeting regularly and it has changed my life! It is so encouraging to know there is a place where I can physically gather with other Spirit filled Christians and call on the name of the Lord, during these dark and unprecedented times. The members truly love God and want to see lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to God for allowing me to connect with such a powerful prayer ministry."
"I had a flat at 8:15am on a Wednesday morning, I coasted my car to the safest place, I saw a church... First Assembly of God so i pulled on the lot. The traffic was really heavy and my tire had come off the rim. My car is used and I never noticed it did not come with a jack. I relocated here and do not know lots of people. One of my friends had surgery the other was at work repairing a rooftop. A security guard (woman) was riding around on a golf cart, she said she would ask if anyone had a jack. She asked a maintenance but man his jack was to large it was for tall pickups. The African American man who was with him never attempted to go to his Chevy Tahoe to get his jack he got into his car and pulled off . He came back about 30 minutes later just drove by looking at me. When the security lady saw the pickup jack was to tall she was oh ok then have a nice day. So I basically was screwed I called a roadside assistance place and they all said the service charge was over $70 just to come out. I couldnt afford it so i got out my car and crossed 5 lanes of traffic to the homes on the other side of Walnut Grove. I was reluctant to knock on doors being a black woman (a percieved threat), I walked until I saw a man working under his hood i asked him could i please borrow a jack he said yes and helped me to change the tire. 1st Assembly has a private school on weekdays there were over a 150 cars on the lot today. I thought a church was a safe haven I was so hurt and upset that they just left me alone on the lot for 2 hours just to continuously drive by me going about their normal day. I wonder what would have happened had I been white like most of the parishioners and families they service."
"I went in and toured their private school. Beautiful campus and friendly staff. I was told point blank that none of my gay friends or family would be welcome to attend my children’s school functions. I get it, that’s your take on your religion. I chose to spend the money on tuition elsewhere."
