"I had a surprisingly nice experience getting my root canal done by Dr. Stalder. He was very communicative throughout the process and although I was sent with a referral from my dentist he performed a quick examination to ensure that I did in fact need treatment before proceeding. The entire procedure took just over an hour and although I'm sure no root canal is comfortable I was reassured by Dr. Stalder's calm demeanor and steady hands. His work was efficient but careful and I could tell he took the extra time to make sure it was done correctly. I'm grateful to him and my hygienist Abby who were both warm and kind to me during my visit. Just a few hours afterward and I am in no pain at all. Thank you Dr. Stalder!"

"I was seen in March 2023 by Dr.Michael Lewis who did a complete exam and took cone beam CT X-rays of a tooth which was infected. I was asked to pay in full for the evaluation even though I had given the office my insurance information and was told they would "forward to me the insurance remittance once received". Dr. Lewis referred me next door to an oral surgeon in another office since he recommended extraction of the tooth. My insurance company has since sent me 4 separate denial letters telling me that Mission Valley Endodontics coded my exam as a "consultation" not an office visit and that they should resubmit the claims. When I called the office to question how my visit could not possibly be "An Office Visit", I was told that since Dr. Lewis didn't do any follow-up endo work on my tooth, they don't consider it to be even an office visit. This experience was very disappointing and, I feel deceptive, since they clearly should have disclosed to me up front that doing an evaluation/consultation is not covered by any insurance."
