Reviews of Legend Acres
"Group training classes were incredibly helpful for my daughter and her goldendoodle. We had the best experience and have already recommended to numerous friends. Thank you for offering a great class at a very reasonable price!"
"I just want to say that I have had nothing but positive experiences with Kristie Mae and her staff both as a student AND fellow animal professionals. I first met Kristie (the owner) through Chance Animal Shelter when I worked as an animal welfare professional. I then took Kristie's beginner obedience class with my gigantic, loud and intimidating American Bulldog mix. Even though my dog barked at everything AND everyone Kristie did not kick us out and was so supportive and encouraging. Her program is awesome! I HIGHLY recommend them!"
"I recently attended the Fall event at Golden Puppies. I had some questions regarding my four year old Golden. The personnel at Legend were very helpful and offered a free evaluation for my dog at my convenience. I found them to be very helpful and not at all overbearing or insistent that I sign up for anything. If they had to reschedule some appointments, I believe it was unavoidable and people should have more compassion."
"I have tried talking to the trainers and even the owner and got told basically she didn’t want to hear it. I have said all of this to the owner personally. -horrible communication, and it gets blamed on clients -not putting out quality training -price is TOO high for what you’re putting out -lying about customers feeling that have been told to owner -owner treating trainers horribly -trainer treating other trainers disrespectfully We have been so disappointed in our training. Stanley was NOT ready to pass public access. We barely passed and we have a dog that’s only good at walking on a leash. The miscommunication between the desk and the trainers was horrible and instead you blamed it on ME, the person paying your company to help us. We were told we could apply for scholarships but was NEVER told what it could be used for or when to apply. Also I asked multiple times when I could use the scholarship, was told it can’t be used for the public access test (which is $210 too much) and wasn’t able to be used for task training. We even did our public access test together with another team and there was 0 discount for either of us. I am HUGE about sending people to Legends Acres and my loyalty is huge but I will be suggesting many others including Tiffany’s company (one of the trainers who left while we were training due to the communication and many other issues) and whoever we have to pay to get our dog up to service dog standards and will tell my HONEST opinion about the company from now on. Also the talking down about trainers by one trainer in particular was not very professional. I waited to write this until I was not emotional about the situation like when I called about another miscommunication issue back 6 months ago and the owner directly spoke to me and downplayed everything we spoke about and gaslit me saying it was a me and the trainers miscommunication when the trainers were telling me they wanted to do training and you weren’t allowing it."
"I have worked with Kristi and the crew at Legend Acres for almost 8 months. I rescued a 2 yr. old mix dog and wanted to train her as my service dog. Kristi has worked with us (I say US because she trained me too) weekly. The whole group of Legend Acres is fantastic! She is now my service, we are so happy. They are caring, informative and professional. I would recommend this facility to anyone."
