"I moved here from out of state and find the medical community lacking. The being said from day one I knew I came to the correct place to have my treatments. They have been nothing but professional and extremely knowledgeable. I’ve been going to them for a few years and I feel better then ever. Thank You Mark Friedfertig"
"First off I will say the doctor that I met was great. On the other hand the staff were a bunch of liars. They had the nerve to tell me that my insurance didn't approve my iron infusion when they didn't even call. I've had iron infusions at another location without issues. This here is straight discrimination. Always negating peoples sufferings. Someone called me to schedule an appointment then the day before my appointment I got a call to make an appointment. Like hello, do you all look at schedules before calling patients? They have messed up my plans for a successful surgery."
"The front office staff is a revolving door. Everytime we come there are always new workers. The front office staff are rude and impolite. They dont even greet you when you enter inside. They look like they just rolled out of bed and came to work with 2 day clothes on. These are the first people you see and a first impression is everything. The doctors are great but they need to get better office staff that enjoy working."
"Absolutely horrible staff fielding calls and working the front desk. My wife was treated rudely and even yelled at on more than one occasion. Once she was treated horribly because the rude staff at the front desk felt that she was attempting to make an appointment too soon by their terrible standards. The second time she was yelled at and treated rudely over the phone because she called to speak to a nurse about an injection she had received there. It was turning red and becoming inflamed at the injection site. In the same call she needed to have a prescription refilled. She called at 8 AM, was told they would call back shortly and by late that afternoon she still had not received a call. When she called the second time she was yelled at for calling again by the same rude, unprofessional, gum smacking receptionist. They had zero bedside manner and had no business interacting with people who are already scared to death and in shock over the initial diagnosis of cancer. Had I been in the building during the initial incident I would most likely have been arrested for grabbing the woman by her nasty, poorly attached weave and skull dragging her. The oncologist my wife was seeing seemed caring at first but once she was ruled out of a study for a different chemo/hormone treatment the doctor was very unavailable. There was another incident during a chemo treatment where I witnessed the doctor hide her face and purposely try to avoid the treatment floor hoping that patients wouldn't notice her. My wife has a friend that went to the same clinic and also had an awful experience. We eventually moved my wife over to Vanderbilt at 100 Oaks and the experience has been absolutely amazing."
"MINIMUM wait time to see the MD is always 2 hours! Received a receipt for my co-pay. Got home and looked at the receipt, and the receipt showed the name of another clinic, did not show Tennessee Oncology at all. I called the office on a Monday, left a voice message that morning, did not hear from them on Tuesday, called back Wednesday afternoon. Lady told me they were short staffed and that was why my voice message had not been returned. She apologized. She describe a long process of how they have to basically manipulate their system to be able to generate a receipt that shows Tennessee Oncology on the receipt. I believe this office needs better management and may need to think about not taking in any more new patients, if they cannot take care of the ones they have in a timely fashion. I do understand sometimes circumstances beyond their control happens. But some of the complaints constantly happen year after year."
