Reviews of Carter Middle School
"As a kid, I was so unhappy with the situation in this place I moved to another part of the family to get a better school."
"At carter middle my daughter was assaulted by a boy and her jaw was broken!!!!!!"
"I attended the 6th grade orientation for class of 2017, although I toured the school, I didn't like that when we split up by last names for the tours, we also had to tour with all the other name groups. We had two 7th graders giving us a tour, and it was a quick tour walk fast don't get lost in the crowd, as the other's were touring as well, and our tour guides would stop and talk to their friends who was touring other groups as well. We wasn't actually shown what a classroom looked like. When we arrived for the orientation we had to sit in a different room to try to watch what was being said in the auditorium, which they picture and sound quality was extremely poor. I felt rushed thru the whole experience. I also don't agree with the rule of 6 graders being in the 7th grade hall and they get punished at lunch, I hope they give these kids a grace period, because if it was me and I walked that tour, I know I'd be lost the first couple of weeks. I did enjoy getting to pick if my child wanted to be in band or chorus, I also enjoyed looking thru the different school activities groups, although we signed up for cheering and was never contacted about the camp. But I will say that I love the Hornet community and wouldn't enroll my child into any other school.. Especially the inner city schools. As well as I know the teachers at these schools are great and care about the children. I do like that every child gets a tablet with their work info on it to do, with plenty of gigs to be able to use at home, where I can't afford the intetnet yet, services for tablets are provided by Verizon. But I will say I miss the actual text books, because that helps me to know what they are doing. It'll be a interesting journey and my child is extremely excited to start Middle School..."
"I attended an orientation for my son to attend this fall. I am very impressed with the school. I love that they segregate the grades. It is fantastic that each child will have an iPad. The school library is online. I remember trying to do a report on something with only 2 copies of a book for the whole class. What a wonder."
"The teachers that I know here are very friendly. My daughter is very excited to start school here in the fall."
