"Not pertaining to this school, but for whoever operates this schools schoolbus has Liberty collegiate on the white sign placard..I've called, emailed about bus # 313 has no working lights on this bus, brake lights, clip lights headlights, apparently this driver doesn't do his pretrip or post trip required by federal DOT regulations..if he was ever in an accident he's legally at fault and lord forbid a child is hurt, thats prison time for this driver!! So maybe if parents informed liberty about this driver than something will be done .because there not listening to me a schoolbus driver with 25yrs experience and still driving. Thank you."
"Parent Review - communication skills from the school are amazing! The teachers and staff really take the time to get to know the children and their needs. Reading is a huge focus, your child will be a great reader by the time they leave this school. My daughter loves her teacher, advisors, deans and principals! I would recommend placing your child at this school 10/10 ♥️ (We’re on year 2, they even knocked it out of the park through covid as well)"
"I go to liberty Collegiate Academy and I believe it’s a good school and I have learned so much from the school. But the school is too strict(like a millitary school) and the staff aren’t very nice(yes, some of the teachers are nice but there are very mean ones). Also I told 3 teachers I was being technically bullied by about 6 students and they did nothing. Also when I stood up for my self I got ics and got in more trouble then then but they have done worst, then one day a girl pushed me and she got ics and me to but I did nothing to her like I didn’t push her or say anything. But other than he students being petty(and some teachers) the other promblem is they give you a demerit for everything you do, they refer you for the smallest reasons(a lot of my friends get stupid referrals), and the food there is disgusting so I recommend if you are going to go to the school, to pack some lunch(some days they have good food). Other than that the school has taught me some good lessons with some of the rules and has taught me so much, that’s all I have to say,"
"Everything Crystal said is VERY TRUE!! My child and I experienced the exact same thing. To add to what Crystal said they staff looks mean & very unapproachable. When they do smile it's fake. Teachers dress very skimpy which leaves the kids hard to focus on whats important. Someone needs to go back & restaff & give them dress & groom instructions. My child's reading did go up fast but peace of mind is priceless. That was something I didn't have while my child attended. I was so rooting for this school in the beginning but you can't sneeze, scratch your nose, stretch,or yawn without getting a demerit. They treat these kids like there in boarding school & military school. They said they belive in old school rearing and how teachers did things back then. Back then teachers showed & expressed their love for their students & they dressed modestly."
"My experience at Liberty started off good I was on board, team Liberty, and letting others know how good this school was. But as time progressed I seen that all the things they tell you in the beginning to get you in are not all what it is cracked up to be. They intimidate these kids. I understand rules are needed and need to be followed but they are way too strict. My daughter got detention for telling a child to move over some of the bus. The girl was sitting to close to her and all she said was cam you move over some please. The teacher was still on the bus and said she got in trouble for talking b/c there is no talking on the bus I asked this teacher was the bus moving and she said no I also asked well was she supposed to ride home being uncomfortable. The teacher knew my child was lying b/c when she got back there she seen how close the little girl was sitting and asked her to move over herself. Another time she got in trouble for not wearing a t-shirt under her uniform, which in the beginning wearing a t-shirt was a choice and she choose not to wear one and she gets in trouble for that. I was not the only parent with this concern/she was not the only student that got in trouble. I wished I had parents to talk to before sending my child to this school. I have now talked to parents who kids went to this school last year and said that didn’t like the school or the teachers. Some pulled their kids out after the 1st semester there. They all said the same thing I said. They feed you with a lot of things a lot of good looking things to get you in there but once in there it’s totally not what you were told it was going to be. I can say one positive thing about the school, they do believe in reading and getting reading skills up. My child reading has improved. The skills she learned for reading will still be used outside of this school. This is one good trait she will keep with her. But she already has to deal with petty kids in her life we shouldn’t have to deal with petty teachers as well. This was an experience that we both will not forget. But she must move on to bigger and better things. I suggest before taking your child here to asked around get others opinion not just one person. Do your homework on this school."
