"I can’t thank the owner enough for his kindness. A couple of weeks ago my sister took her life. My sister and I are both really into music, so I thought going and picking out some of her favorite records would be good for me. I went to the store and after some searching I found some vinyls to remember her by. Up until I went to check out, I was able to keep it together pretty well despite the circumstances. Once I got up to the counter, the owner asked me why I chose Let it Be (The Beatles). Ya know, casual conversation. Well, I’m an honest person and I told him the truth - that my sister had taken her life a few days before and I wanted some music to honor her by. My sister loved the Beatles, and Let it Be just felt right at the time. He decided to give me that album for free. No one was around except me. He didn’t do this to look good, or show off, but he did this because I was hurting and he wanted to help. This act of kindness really touched me. Although it was a week or so ago, I want people to know that this store has an owner with a great heart."

"Wild Honey Records is a Knoxville staple, one of the best record stores in the city. The prices are fair and the collection is great if you can get there early enough. Most of the best stuff gets picked early but that's a good problem to have. They have all the new releases you expect plus some used options. I have found some very unique items here, things I've only ever seen here. Inventory is good for browsing or targeted searches, items in order and everything in outer sleeves or new wrap."
