"Absolutely terrible. School system does absolutely nothing about bullying. The adults ask us to tell them when something is wrong, but when we do, they do nothing about it. CMCSS K-12 Virtual does nothing about bullying. Last year we had a skate night where my best friend was threatened with his own life. Northeast Middle is just awful. I was threatened to be killed in front of multiple teachers, and this girl got no punishment whatsoever. My parents had to remove me from school because the school would not do nothing about bullying. Kids were vaping constantly, There were small fires in the schools, and we were allowed back in the building after 20 minutes. I hate the CMCSS district to this day. I will never let my own child attend any CMCSS."
"All I know is the bus driver and bus rider of my child's school at St. Bethlehem are amazing! Bus 1307 to be exact! My child was being chased by 2 big dogs and before I could get out of my door the bus rider was already out of the bus prepared to help my child with no regards to his own safety! These are the types of people who we want protecting our children! People who actually care! To these 2 men I highly thankyou for your protection and hard work!"
"My son has auditory processing disorder. He was told when he came in that no problem they could handle it under 504 plan. He had a wonderful third grade teacher. Moving into fourth grade we were promised that he was going to be with the best teacher team at Rossview elementary. They have absolutely no idea about his disorder and never even bothered to take the time to look at it. The teachers refuse to communicate with the parents no matter how many times we have requested them to do so. We had to get an education advocate only to find out that they were out of compliance by not providing him necessary services. We reported them to the state and they put pressure on them to do something. He now has an IEP but even with that the teachers refuse to communicate. My son has gained nothing from the fourth grade and will likely have to repeat or do summer school when we move to another state. We had to pull my daughter out of the middle school due to bullying and significant profanity and Extensive sexual talk. The buses are out of control and there is bullying everywhere. We moved here because they have a 10 out of 10 rating but that rating only reflects their testing and that is all they care about. Granted there are excellent teachers here and there but as a whole the school system is very disappointing. Luckily we put my daughter in their virtual school program and she is still part of the school district and that’s the only way she could escape bullying, while excelling in her gifted programs."
"The food does not taste great in fact it doesnt really have at all sometimes. There are way to many up coming test to really learn and the teachers are scrambling to jam all the information into our heads before they come up. We're too worried about test rather than learning the information needed for our final. Also the test gave been so in the way it has been hard to get some grades up. This year also they were unorganized about the testing at first the scheduling seemed to be everywhere because someone was "tweaking" it still the week before the test. Most teachers are good and have great personalities, but some just keep piling worksheets just for the test which will not help in learning the information needed."
"Lots of students bully others and are loud and disrespectful. The teachers and principal do nothing about it either. Adults there will encourage you to tell them if anything is wrong, but if you do, they will never do anything about it. Also, your grades and scores on standardized test (which they give way too many of) are way more important than actual learning and if you need help to them. The only good thing here is some of the nice teachers and other nice adults."
