Reviews of Sunrise Counseling Services LLC
"It has been a rollercoaster ride with some of the experiences that have taken place. However, Sunrise has a counselor by the name of Ricky Jones who does extreme work to help couples find their way through some of their rough times by employing wisdom and understanding. Mr. Jones undoubtedly the most professional and passionate counselor we have ever seen. He is invested in the improvement of marriages, relationship, families, and individuals. We give our most esteemed recommendation to Mr. Jones. The front staff is very welcoming also. There is always a greet with a smile full of care. Best place in Clarksville!"
"I'm sorry to those at Sunrise Counseling if this sounds harsh but mental health treatment is very serious and needs to be treated as such. My biggest issues: Appointments are always on different days of week and different times of day. Also, how can someone claim to be specialized in DBT and then proceed to do a normal session of simply talking like any other therapist? Unless you have MILD anxiety and depression, do not waste your time here. Or anywhere in the area for that matter. Ask your psychiatrist to refer you to a decent PSYCHOLOGIST with a doctorate level degree. Where to start. My first counselor seemed nice but I was informed in my third session that she was not experienced enough in treating someone with a personality disorder and referred me to another person there. This person was supposed to be specialized in DBT but our sessions didn't differ from any other normal therapy I've had, except that she talked kind of a lot and I felt rude trying to interupt her to continue our session. She suppressed a yawn in one of our sessions. I understand that burnout is a real issue for mental health professionals but it's not my burden to be impacted by as a client if it can be avoidable. Because the time and day of the virtual appointments are different every week there, I was late to a few. My therapist ASKED for MY phone number so that she could call if I was late to our virtual appointment. Well, I missed the appointment and got charged a bunch of money. She didn't text or call, either to tell me I was late or tell me that I had missed the appointment. I stopped seeing anyone at Sunrise Counseling right then. No one ever followed up to make sure I was okay, including my therapist. For all she knows I could be dead. This is a perfect example of why people DON'T reach out for mental health treatment. This is about the 7th therapist I've had. Don't be the therapist to discourage people who are SUFFERING from getting help."
"I actually never talked to anybody besides a receptionist who decided that nobody could help me with my issues. So you have a degree and you did general counseling and therapy with a psychology degree but you can't help somebody with a sexual assault case who already did their case I just need to talk about what happened to me. That's cool but you also couldn't refer me to anybody else and you made me feel like I was in the wrong for everything. Shame on you. Especially as a counseling center and a therapist center. You specifically said that nobody could help me in your center so what can you actually do for people?"
"My experience here has been amazing."
