"I came here a day before I started my new position at a hospital last week because I knew I was going to have my picture taken for my badge the next day. I usually go to Rios first barber shop on nordhoff but I didn’t know they close on Sunday’s now. I only let Chino and Rio cut my hair. So I decided to go there as a last minute resort, I get to the door, the lady tells me they’re about to close and that the guys were leaving but that she could cut my hair. I was skeptical so I asked her if she knew how to do razor blade fades. She said and I quite “I know how to do everything” so I said okay, I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt. I sit down on the chair and she asks me what I want. I said “razor blade fade with a 7 on top please” she says okay. I’m looking at myself in the mirror as she passes the clippers on top. I said “wow that’s a 7” and she says yes it is and she shows me the clippers, it said 4. I told her “that’s a 4”, she then looks at the clippers and then goes to the back table to grab her glasses BECAUSE SHE COULDNT SEE THE NUMBER (how the hell is she gonna see how she’s cutting my hair without her glasses). She realizes it was a 4 and makes a face as if it wasn’t a big deal and says sorry. All I said was wow, that’s not what I wanted that’s too short. It gets quiet for 5 min and she’s cutting the sides of my hair now which now I’m worried because if she couldn’t see the number how the hell is she gonna blend my hair properly. She then later tells me I don’t have to pay which of course I wasn’t going to after that no matter what. So I’m mad at what just happened and worried at the same time. She goes in on the sides of my hair for about an hour. She tells me she’s done. She shows me my hair with a mirror (which she still never put her glasses on after the first incident) and my sides are a complete mess, I can clearly see the lines she didn’t blend and they were crooked, and I had patches. I told her. She tries again. She finishes, shows me with a mirror and it’s still terrible. I told her. She was going to attempt again until I told her to stop that I didn’t want her to make it look even more terrible then it already is. She kept insisting and putting the clippers to my head so I had to move away and tell her to stop. I said thanks for the cut and left to another barber shop on saticoy n winnetka. She left spots on top that were longer than other parts, the sides were a complete mess after she told me she knew everything. Never put her glasses on after the first incident and proceeded. I will never come here and I suggest you don’t either. I’m going to stick strictly to rio and chino at their other shop. That lady shouldn’t be allowed to say she knows how to cut hair or touch another persons hair. I don’t like doing this but this time I had to because that should have never happened. She should have said you know what I’m not that great do you still want me to cut it. If I could give this zero stars I would but unfortunately one star it is."

"I've been to Floyd's a few times with mixed reviews. I use to walk passed Rios before one day going in. Been twice since. Two different barbers. There was barely a wait. They do a great job. There's another shop in the area I've been to but the wait time is out of control. I'll probably only go to Rios now for as long as I'm in the area."
