"My family was new to the area looking for a good neighborhood school for my child to attend. This school pulled the wool over our eyes from the first tour until the first day. High turn over rate of teachers which we were lied to about that fact. Kindergarten teacher talk about students in a negative light amongst other teachers not knowing who is related to who. Some of those same educators which I use the term loosely, use derogatory words towards their students. Young students have been called SOB’s, tyrants, and other labels “kids” don’t deserve. They chose to allow kids to do their own thing instead of engaging the mind of a child at all cost. They are not laying their life on the line, or put in a time critical situation, they are suppose to teach. Not just when it is convenient to them. Not all teachers are bad! I have educators in my family just not in this school. I have spoken to them and they can’t believe the mess that goes on at this school. The changed started when the long standing principle left a few years ago. The current principle appears not to care or engage families unless she absolutely has to. She has advised she has staff to handle these issues. She is the head. If the head doesn’t monitor or engage parts of her student body, she can easily lose their respect. She has seem to lost many of her teachers already. Every kids of color is being pushed towards being evaluated for mental illness, if they don’t obey the teacher. I raise my child on the way of if you spare the rod you spoil the child. Discipline is a corner foundation in our home. Raising and teaching a kid takes a village. If your teachers in your neighborhood aren’t willing to play their part, our kids are lost. If you can’t handle the children say so. Our kids teacher went from a 30 year vet with problems at home to a first year teacher that gives up on kids. These kids depend on our teacher to be an extension of home. They treat the kids as strangers that they don’t get paid enough to deal with. There are at least a few formal SCS complaints made currently on this school and as parents find out more the complaints may increase. No leadership from the head to the subordinates. Things have occurred at this school that they won’t even call the parents about to correct the action or even to be made aware of. They have the policy to put it a report which follows your kid everywhere they go. These are hearsay complaints made on your child that the teacher hardly ever witnesses with their own eyes. Private school or charter schools may be the way to go if public school like this stop being a place kids enjoy. Most of the post I read prior to my experience has been from what appears to be upset students. They are there so they know. This has proven to be a mistake made by us as parents to expose our kid to this horrible school. We will correct this wrong at all cost. This is to inform the reader to beware. This school sucks and doesn’t seem to be on the track to getting better no time soon. If you have a child that currently attends, you may want to get a copy of their file. The lies may blow you away!"
"I loved this school I attended it in kindergarten the year it first opened through 5th grade, and I am proud to say I loved it. I would strongly suggest going. Say hello to Mrs.Nixon for me!"
"My youngest sin, niece & nephew attended this school. It's beautiful, hi-tech, and has a great after school program for about $50 monthly. Grill your children every single day, make sure no one is bullying them, teachers can't catch everything."
"Awesome school awesome friends and best school i've been to right now but don't do anything bad because your will get in trouble. Like one time I wasn't even talking and then the teacher thought I was and then I had to spend my recces walking and not talking."
"Excellent school and I adore the teachers!!! My daughter gains a lot of knowledge and the environment is really friendly!!!"
