"This is an experience from several years ago but here goes. I was experiencing extremely heavy bleeding and my regular gynecologist had given me a medication that wasn’t effective at all. When I called to ask for an appointment because I felt horrible and was bleeding out of control, her nurse basically poo pooed me off. I happened to have an appointment to see another physician for migraines at St Thomas and she immediately became concerned and referred me to Dr Gurley. Dr Gurley was extraordinarily kind, compassionate, and deeply concerned because I had actually lost a great deal of blood. He worked with me to control the bleeding, performed the needed surgery, and was immediately responsive when a complication occurred. I never planned on meeting Dr Gurley but I truly believe that he saved my life and I cannot recommend him highly enough."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Gurleys for years. He has helped me through many issues and has always been extremely kind and helpful. The office manager, Heather, however is extremely rude. I have had several issues with her in the past and made Dr. Gurley aware. The way she spoke to me today was the last straw. Unfortunately this institution will lose a long-time patient due to her unprofessionalism."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Gurley for more than 20 years, he has always been very patient and kind. He has a wonderful bedside manner. But, his front office staff is why I'm leaving. I had a no sho, and I paid 100.00. I received a bill for additional money, because they took the copays out, and I still had a balance. The bill did not reflect that, so I called. His office manager treated me so rudely and with disdain that I never want to go back. It is ashamed that the people he has working for him run patients off. What a sad day."

"I really like Dr. Gurley. He is gentle and seems to be very knowledgeable. However, some of his office staff are the worst! The office manager, Heather, in particular, was very rude and insensitive. She seems like she hates her job. I was met with resistance from her every time I needed anything. She definitely lowers the quality of the entire establishment. Its sad when good doctors lose business because of poor office staff."

"I was referred to Dr Gurley by my neurologist due to heavy, uncontrolled bleeding that was dismissed by my local gynecologist’s office. Dr Gurley was amazing from the beginning. He had a wonderful, calm bedside manner and took care of the problem beautifully (which ultimately needed surgery to correct). I even referred a co-worker to him and she adored him as well. Wonderful physician!"
