"When I came to San Diego, I found Vuong Do and he’s been the man ever since. He’s been away for a year because of COVID but he’s just gotten back (as of this past Sunday March 28), double shot vaccinated! The bond a man has with his barber is sacred and my hair has been wild this past year. Glad to have him back!"
"They practice a craft and a haircut is an art. It is meant to be a relaxing experience in most parts of the world, you're not a number here and it's not going to take 5 minutes. Enjoy your haircut by sitting back and clearing your head while they trim your hair!"
"General comment: A slow and unconventional way of getting my hair done, but pays attention to detail and does it really well. Long story: I went with a group of friends, and when we stepped into the shop, we weren’t greeted. The atmosphere felt more like a home than a shop (though they do have a TV playing college football). It was a bad first impression, but we decided to give this place a shot since we are kinda tired and don’t want to go somewhere else. So we went back in. My barber was the older guy, presumably the father, and he doesn’t talk much. To me, I think it is perfectly fine, I want him to focus on my hair more. And his “unconventional” way of cutting hair is he starts out with razor and trims the sides. Usually in a saloon they start out with clips and scissors to get the shape down. Nevertheless it was nice enough. I get nervous around barbers because I care about my hair a lot, so I would be constantly asking him about how he’s gonna cut it. He usually replies with “i know”, but he takes the advice well and does really know what he is doing. He was willing to use the vacuum a few times to clean up just because I want the sides to be shorter. When he actually does chat he is genuine. In conclusion, I think it is a great place for students, I would recommend only male, to go, since it’s like 16 dollars for a haircut."
"Great place. The barber doesn't force you to chat and is very methodical and accurate. He is definitely experienced and makes good haircuts. Takes a bit longer than average but is definitely worth it."
"The old Vietnamese man who cut my hair was a little slow, but he gave me a great haircut. He seemed like he was trying to get everything just perfect and he did. He uses a vacuum when he is done to suck up all the bits of hair so you aren't all itchy afterwards, which I thought was a nice touch. Surprised more places don't do this. I will definitely go again."
