"I have been coming to the barbershop since Lyn and Tony took over (back when they had a mini fridge full of free soda & water for customers). Prices shot up in 2022, but have since come down. A cut is $24. There are several highly-rated barbershops in Torrance that (in my opinion) charge way too much for a haircut and have the occasional bad review on Yelp. When I found Yao Barbershop on yelp I was a little apprehensive to visit a barbershop with only four reviews but wow was I glad I did. Both Lyn and Tony have cut my hair and I am satisfied every time. My cut is simple (trim with scissors on top, #3 on the sides and taper) I'm in and out in 15 mins. I have very sensitive skin on the back of my neck so I usually avoid getting a taper and shave on the back, but with Lyn, I have not experienced any type of irritation on my skin. SHE IS A MAGICIAN. I was very happy I found Yao Barbershop near my workplace, visiting them every two weeks after work is a no-brainer. So glad I found Lyn & Yao barbershop. I had no Yelp before visiting Lyn, but after getting a great cut at an amazing price I just had to write a review!"

"Been coming here for 4 years and it seems they throw a tantrum and become extremely rude and unhelpful every time a slight adjustment is asked. Unfortunately the decent price isn’t worth it anymore since they treat you like a child. It is not professional to scold someone if they have any adjustments they want made, let alone before their hair is even cut. After 4 years of tolerating their rudeness and arguing to me that flattening the top of the hair instead of keeping it round isn’t possible, it’s time to look elsewhere. I also tip over 30% every time and expect a level of professionalism. I’m just very disappointed in the treatment and behavior from these full grown adults."
