"I had been seeing Dr. Weber for many years before Hernan Cardenas purchased his practice. Upon my first visit under his new ownership it became obvious Hernan is they type of dentist to push unnecessary treatments upon his patients. One of the first things he did was ask if I have sleep apnea. He said he sold sleep apnea devices and it would be good for me. I do not have sleep apnea and why would he suggest it? Then he went on about the need for me to have multiple crowns performed. I told him that Dr. Weber had been monitoring them and if there wasn't any pain then there was not a need to have the crowns done. He continued to insist and it became obvious to me that he needed to create cashflow to pay for his new practice he had just purchased. Further to that my two daughters were also patients and had similar experiences. We all ended up leaving and going to a new dentist. Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hernan Cardenas. His primary goal is to generate revenue by generating as many procedures as possible. Necessary or not. It is difficult enough having to have your teeth worked on let alone having unnecessary procedures forced upon you. I have found a new dental practice through my insurance portal and they are wonderful."

"First off, I was sad originally when Dr. Webber retired. That being said, Dr. Cardenas is a really great dentist that I can trust. The whole staff is super friendly as well. I'm also happy that Irene, (who I've known probably since I was in high school, which was the early 2000s), is still there. She's a great dental hygienist!"

"I highly recommend Dr. Cardenas office for your dental work. I have been using his services regularly for few years now. I started as a Dr. Walter’s patient who transitioned his practice to Dr. Cardenas upon retirement and I have not been disappointed. My dental needs are typically handled by Irina and Hernan, but all the staff here is very friendly and professional. This location is very clean and taken care of. I think in times of COVID they made all the necessary precautions for the safety of their staff and patients. If you are looking for dental office, this is the one to go to."

"I've been going to Dr. Cardenas' Dental Clinic for years now. I always leave this office, with a big smile on my face, satisfied with the dental work I've had in any given day, to show off my cleaned, or whitened teeth. :) I really like the attentive and caring atmosphere. I'm always received on time, and on days I arrive early, I enjoy talking and laughing with Jennifer, or Marguerite of whoever is in the office that day. The place itself is squeaky clean, warm, and welcoming. In addition, the staff is always willing to work with me whenever I have conflict in schedule. "I recently made a decision to seek out a new Dentist given my former long-time D.D.S. had become geographically inconvenient ever since I moved to the San Jose area. I made an appointment for a general teeth cleaning with Dr. Cardenas. With respect to my first interaction with Dr. Cardenas’s staff, they expeditiously verified all the coverage details of my Insurance. Staff was very friendly and at-tentative at arrival. If you desire an aesthetically pleasing environment like myself, the office is spacious and looks brand new from the dental equipment, patient chairs, dental rooms and waiting & reception area. I was asked the right questions before my exam/cleaning to determine any concerns that I might have with specific dental procedures. Digital X-Rays and micro pictures were taken and made instantly available to view on a monitor with detailed feedback provided. Individual tooth/gum analysis was performed and documented on every tooth/gum by Dr. Cardenas. The teeth cleaning was thorough. A future preventative strategy was provided to combat the some gum recession that I need to address. I never felt rushed through this process even with the lengthy amount of time spent on me. Bottom line, I feel like my needs were taken care using a detailed approach in a very comfortable environment. Not sure what requirements you are looking for when choosing a D.D.S. but Dr. Cardenas’s practice hit all of the parameters that I required."
