"...1st review • few yrs ago I recently visited this store to buy a new pair of basic Puma court shoes. The service was great. Very polite, professional and thorough. Prices were great- not as steep as most of the shops I've been checking in the malls & they had what I was looking for in my size in stock!!! The whole process was quick & painless (on the pocket). ... updated 03/04/24 Another great experience with this retailer! Running in the door 4 minutes before closing on Saturday (they're closed Sundays & DIDN'T want to wait for Monday). I could tell by the look on his face the gentleman (I'm guessing owner) was nervous about this potential delay, but was very pleasant regardless. They had many styles on sale (large discounts) plus a buy one/get one ½ off deal going on. I quickly scanned a few pair but decided to go with my long standing faves. I asked for them in my size and continued to scan the shelves as the lady went to grab them in back. I noticed she opened the box & checked them before offering them to me. [this is important as I ended up on vacation in Puerto Vallarta once with two different sized Birkenstocks I purchased in 'the mall' on my way to the airport] When I told her I'd take them she asked, "Would you like to try them on first?" even though I'm sure closing time had passed. I let her know that wasn't necessary and pointed at the worn out pair of identical shoes on my feet. I don't have much of a shopping budget these days, like many of us; but I would MUCH rather spend what I do have at a place like this. Nice people, good prices, great customer service! And the icing on the cake: shoes are already laced up perfectly & ready to go!!! Thanks again SOLO SHOES on Palomar!"
