"So, I adore Dr. Garcia. For example, He went out of his way on his day off- on a Saturday— to fix a tooth that was a dental emergency, for me, a year ago. Today 1/11/2024, I had an appointment to fill in a filling that had fallen out. A month or two prior at a semi- annual check up, Dr. Garcia (who I trust implicitly) said my mouth was perfect sans a molar that had a filling fall out. At 11am this morning, I went into my appointment. An old Lady with neon eye make up and a very unprofessional demeanor reviewed my chart and then without warning: she proceeded to drill my tooth to begin the procedure. I was so confused because Dr. Garcia always completes work on my mouth when it comes to anything larger than a cleaning of X-rays. I asked the lady to stop. I Called over the receptionist as I had NO idea who this strange seemingly feeble and inexperienced old lady was (I made an appointment WITH my dentist, Carlos Garcia. and him only). She continued to practice on me exemplifying her lack of viable experience and credentials. I noticed she was draining what seemed as nearly the entire syringe of numbing medicine on my lap before she began injecting me which I alerted her of and she only shrugged it off! She didn’t know how to use the suction to keep me from drowning as I was positioned by her in a laid back and elevated in a dentist’s chair. Then, something I could never imagine happened. I think she was beginning the filling process but suddenly I felt a sharp poke in my throat and thankfully didn’t get harmed by any sharp dental drills this “dentist” was using on me nor any dental tools, but I leaned forward to cough out a SPLINTERED TOOTH PICK!!! When was the last time you had that happen to you at the dentist? I tried to be polite but the old lady had NO IDEA what she was doing and then proved herself dangerous and didn’t even apologize! This evening I feel faint and in pain because I’m half way through getting my filling put back in place as it was, but unable to eat as I’m literally in the middle of a dental performance and tonight I am so hungry and unable to eat because of the condition of this tooth and my punctured throat is sore. That said, I pray Dr. Garcia maintains a quality environment moving forward and eliminating inexperienced and dangerous personnel from his practice. I am grieved to say, I had a nightmare experience today and that’s never happened in the past 6 years as Garcia as my dentist. Please, Dr Garcia, I implore you to take note of this awful experience and purge your dental practice of inexperienced and dangerous “practitioners” or staff. Thank you !"
