"Scheduled an appointment for a badly infected tooth and was in so much pain. they knew the situation before hand and the reason why i was coming in. when i got there they took x-rays and that was it. did not even look at my tooth. only suggested taking Motrin and to see a specialist. Wouldn't've even scheduled if i knew that was all they would do. waste of time and even possible an insurance scam. i will talking to my insurance about this."

"I recently visited Western Dental on 1st and Fairview, SA, for what I expected to be a routine teeth cleaning, especially important to me before the Thanksgiving holiday. To my surprise and grave disappointment, after the x-rays and examination, I was informed that I would not receive the cleaning I had scheduled, and that I would need to make a new appointment. This was a first in my experience with dental offices. The policy of conducting only exams on the first visit, without prior notification, shows a lack of respect for patients' time and needs. I had taken time off work for this appointment, expecting a service that is typically offered during initial visits every other dental practice I have ever been to in the past 30 years. This experience was a stark contrast to my previous dentist, located in downtown SA, where my first visit included a cleaning within 30 minutes of arriving, even in a busy practice. I just contacted my insurance provider to switch back to my previous dentist. It's unfortunate that Western Dental does not align more closely with industry standards and patient expectations, especially for new patients looking to establish a long-term relationship with a dental care provider."
