"Terrible Haircut Experience, Avoid This Place! If you are looking for a place to get your hair cut, I strongly advise against coming here. I was on a tight budget and in search of an affordable option, but choosing this place turned out to be the worst decision I could have made. The fade I received was an absolute disaster - one side was completely bald while the other side had uneven patches of hair, with absolutely no blending in between. It was a complete mess. I even pointed out the mistake to the stylist, hoping for some improvement, but he seemed to brush it off as if he understood, only to proceed and make another mistake by cutting my hair on top, despite my explicit instruction not to do so. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing and frustrating this experience was. The lack of attention to detail and disregard for my explicit instructions were clear indicators of the incompetence of the stylist. The overall result was far from what I had hoped for and expected. Save yourself the trouble and time - don't even consider coming to this place. The quality of service and the final outcome are simply not worth it. I regret setting foot in this establishment, and I strongly urge anyone looking for a reliable and competent hair salon to look elsewhere."

She's clearly very experienced and skilled. I have wavy hair and got layers, which look perfect! She gave me tips for styling my hair, and was an amazing price. Will definitely be coming back."

"I had to get a shampoo because the water pressure is so low where I am staying in LA ;) that I can't wash my long hair in that fine mist coming out of the shower. I had no appointment for the shampoo, just walked in. Really nice guy called Phat Tran washed my hair quickly and efficiently, no fuss. I will go back there I expect."

"Four weeks have passed since my last experience at Freddy and Liana’s before I decided that I needed to share this with you. – I had four weeks to think about posting this, but considering that despite my hopes that my haircut would get better to manage over time, which it had not, I feel that it is necessary to let you know that even if you have a photo of a haircut you might want to end up with, please consider alternative options to this salon. Freddy and Liana’s had been my hair salon for two years, with a regular visit for a haircut every 5 to 6 weeks. Patrick was my hair dresser. He was courteous and funny, and up until to the last few visits, he was on par. I am not sure what it is, but his attention to detail started to lack. In fact, I went back for corrections at least three times since the beginning of this year, every time thinking that he may had a bad day at work. - I also thought that it may have been the weather, considering the humidity we had been having. However, I soon came to realize that the new atmosphere at this salon may have had a lot to do with the fact that their long-time hairdressers are stressed out with all the commotion that’s going on, and that this perhaps, reflected on the outcome of the haircuts. – In fact, ever since the “other salon” temporarily merged with Freddy and Liana’s, the competition seemed to have increased, which did not help the original Freddy and Liana’s employees or their customers. I am not saying that this is the case, but it sure felt to me that ever since the other company took over par of the salon, the level of comfort and stress-free zone diminished at this location. As mentioned above, my last visit was four weeks ago (08-16-2017), and I mean: My last visit. – I went in with an all-ready to go haircut that just needed the tips cut and a little bit of styling to get me closer to my desired hairstyle. - I even brought in a photograph of the style I really liked and wanted to get my hair to look as close as possible to it. Patrick looked at the photo and assured me that he could do that. However, I ended up with a much shorter haircut: too thin and too short on the sides to do anything with it, and too “heavy” on the top to get it styled in any which way. Instead of getting the shaggy look I wanted, I ended up with a style that resembles Mrs. Brady back in the 60’s, mixed with a flair of a mullet from the 80’s. Please let me tell you, that it does not help anybody when other people say that the “cut looks nice”, or “it’s going to grow back”. It actually made matters only worse for me. It does not help me that my cut “looks good” to others, what matters to me is that the cut makes me feel good. This particular cut does not. It makes me feel disappointed and uncomfortable. I came in to Freddy and Liana’s with a specific request and was told by Patrick “okay, I can do that”. However, instead of leaving with even a shred of resemblance of the cut I wanted, left with a haircut that still makes me to this date more than unhappy looking in the mirror. I am aware that this may continue to go on for weeks to come, or until at least the hair is manageable enough to have a different hairstylist try to salvage it, but at least I made potential new customers aware of it, too."
