"While the people at the salon were perfectly nice, I did feel a little bit like I got taken advantage of because it is very clear I have no idea what I'm doing. I booked the appointment online for a haircut and toner/gloss, and was quoted $160 for both. I mentioned to them that my wedding was in two weeks. When I got there, they seemed to have no idea was a gloss was and so they asked if I meant I wanted a treatment. I, having no idea except that my old hairstylist advised me to get a gloss, said, "yes, a gloss treatment". They showed me some products, which I agreed to, and said something to the effect of "he'll do all of this for only $200". Being the socially awkward person that I am, I said "okay, thank you". They also asked if I wanted my hair blowdryed after, which I had assumed was included in the cost of the haircut. My hair feels very soft and the haircut was nice, but I don't think I got what I went in there for and $100 for the haircut I got (very simple cut, close to just a trim) felt exorbitant. Again, my hair looks nice, but I really feel that I overpaid for a simple cut and the wrong treatment."
