"This post is long overdue, but I cannot help but leave a stellar review about this wonderful dental office, specifically towards Dr. Fusco, Dr. Harmer, Dr. Einstein (anesthesia) and Griffin. My poor little toddler (2.5 years old at the time) chipped her tooth and was in pain to the point where she couldn't comfortably eat. We took her to her a pediatric dentist closer to where we lived. They traumatized her by how rough the were when taking X-Rays and my little girl was so scared of the dentist that she would shake and cry and refuse to even enter the waiting room. We also didn't like the treatment plan the first dentist came up with so we proceeded to get 2nd opinions from reputable pediatric dentists in the LA area, regardless of distance. My poor little girl was so burnt out from going into dental offices and would be so terrified to even open her mouth to many of the dentists it just added to the overall stress and anxiety over the whole process. Enter Encino Tooth Fairy. We called this office based on my wife's boss's high recommendation and Dr. Katie Fusco was able to squeeze us in the same day. My daughter was very scared at first but Dr. Fusco was sooooo kind, gentle, and playful with her it actually made me emotional and tear up... I saw my little daughter finally getting more comfortable with seeing a dentist! The combination of seeing how comfortable our little one was with Dr. Fusco and our agreement and confidence in her treatment plan lead us to go through with the procedure. It turned out that my daughter needed some extensive dental work to be done because of an infection caused by the chipped tooth. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Thomas Einstein (who turns out to be the great grand-son of Albert himself!) was one of the kindest and most personable doctors I have ever worked with (that is saying a lot because I work in healthcare). He even would give me his personal text number so I can ask him questions anytime and any day! All in all, the procedure went very well and both Dr. Fusco and Dr. Einstein did a wonderful job in the way the cared and treated my daughter. Regarding payment, the office offered a 20% discount to cash paying patients which ended up being cheaper than my PPO's co-pay. So it was actually cheaper to pay cash than go through insurance (ya.. go figure...) We had a follow-up with Dr. Harmer about a month later because we had a concern about one of her fillings. We were, again, worried about how our toddler would react to a new dentist especially considering her history with dental offices... She definitely needed to start undergoing some sort of desensitization process with a gentle and caring dentist... Sure enough, my little one was very anxious at first, but after some songs and games with Dr. Harmer, she even got all the way to trusting her and opening up her mouth for her! We thought it was a miracle! Dr. Harmer was so sweet and resembled something of a Dentist version of a Disney Princess and Ms. Rachel (from Youtube). My daughter warmed up to her very quickly. We may live about 30-50 mins away (depending on LA traffic) but cannot imagine going to another dental office after how well they treated my daughter. The dentists are special but so are all the office staff we have interacted with (from the front desk led by Griffin and the dental hygienists who helped make my daughter feel comfortable)."

"Dr. Harmer is amazing! Kids love her and her staff. She is dedicated to giving top notch dental care. As an anesthesiologist, I have had the pleasure of working with her for over 10 years. She is so patient and so nice to the children she treats that she rarely needs my help. I have observed her sincere compassion with the children she treats. She also has an excellent rapport with the parents, and communicates extremely well with them. I work with many great dentists, and her office is one of the best. Her staff is very welcoming, friendly and skillful. The office is, superbly equipped, extra clean, cheerily decorated and very well organized. Most importantly, the many happy kids and their pleased parents contribute to the positive atmosphere that makes a visit to the dentist such a positive experience for Dr. Harmer’s patients. I am also pleased to say that I have worked with her associate Dr. Mekel as well. She is also a gem, and if I would recommend her to any parent looking for a great dental experience for their children."

"I am so blown away that Dr. Harmer as the dentist is so amazing! She was professional and warm. She makes you feel like your child and yourself are the most important people. Her office is major busy which proves that it’s a wonderful place. In that note she comes out to talk with you about each child. Very thorough but so gentle a honest! The staff is friendly and very helpful. They so busy but they also are attentive and make sure your visit is taken care of. Just amazing... I can’t stress enough how much I recommend Dr. Harmer, staff, and other staff that help her inside. Just being truthful!!"
